Lennox Lewis vs Wlad Klitschko prime vs prime who wins?

I think Lewis by KO early

 

Wladimir is a more athletic and quicker version of Lewis, with a better chin and more power. I go with Wladimir by mid round KO.

 

I took Wlad because I feel he was technically better, probably hit harder and had the better jab. His consistency speaks for itself.

Lewis on the other hand might have had the better chin, could go to war better and had a hell of an uppercut. But Lewis could be inconsistent.

Really, though, it should be no surprise to anybody if the one or the other won this.

 

Both have glass, it's a toss up.

 

Of course it could go either way, both were unexpectedly KOed in their career.

Wlad is great if he can keep the fight at his arms length but I doubt a prime Wlad would have been able to keep a prime Lewis at bay. Lewis would pressurise Wlad turning it into a war and then going in for the KO. A less than prime Lewis gave Vitali a good run for his money and Wlad just doesn't fight as well under pressue as his older brother.

 

I'm surprised this is even a debate lol. Vlad has really benefitted from an era of weak heavyweights, Lewis fought killers. Imo Lewis would box Wlad's head off off and take him out late.

 

Lennox. Lennox was better in every department. The big difference between the two was that Lennox had an inside game aswell as an outside game. He could uppercut on the inside, he could hook on the inside, aswell as jab your head off on the outside. He was just more of a complete boxer really. Lennox could also go to war and come out victorious.

 

Wlad is and has always been a one dimensional fraidey cat. This fight is a mismatch

 

Wladimir style changed dramatically with the help of Steward after he suffered some big KO losses. He didn't take the risks that he once did. Lennox will go down as one of the greatest heavyweights that's ever lived. As time goes by, he'll get more and more credit, surpassing the likes of Tyson.

 

Wlad has a puncher's chance, but no more than that. Even old man Lennox stopped his bigger (and better) older brother.

Wlad gets destroyed on the inside. You can see how much time he spends up close trying to bear hug the life out of inferior opposition. Good luck trying that against Lewis.
Vitali near got his head popped off in the wheel house. Imagine Wlad taking one of them uppercuts flush on the button.

 

Lewis wins. Tentative early, then once he starts to land, it's good night Wlad. Like some are saying, Lewis would take it on the inside. Sure he's no Riddick Bowe on the inside but still has game, where Wlad has no inside game. Once Wald starts to slow down from the inside boxing, Lewis gives him the old 1, 2 that KO'd Rahman. Just my opinion

Going with Klitschko.

Chinwise and powerwise Lewis just cant be aggressive in this one.

It will go down to boxing fundamentals. Where Wlads got a clear edge.
