GGG, unstoppable?

Outboxed how? Ward suffered early made adjustments an won the fight because of it... sounds to me like regardless who you think won the real master boxer was ward in there.

I would have perm ban bet in a heartbeat ward beats GGG thats how sure i am

 

Most people think he won the fight by robbery... Also if we're being completely honest here most of the work Ward did in that match was illegal. It's hard to say Ward outboxed Kovalev in their match when he constantly broke the rules of boxing.

No, they weren't. Also Ward did a lot of low blows that weren't called at all. They both did a lot of rabbit punches, but Ward did more. Ward also attempted a lot of headbutts which is why Kovalev had to control his head the way he did. Actually, let me see if I can find a video... I stumbled across this and it highlights a lot of the dirty work done in their match.

I agree that GGG should move up, if he could dominate SMW and maybe LHW as well so late into his career then i would feel that he deserves to be in conversations of elite ATG's.

 

Nah the beauty of Ward isn't something that looks good on its own. Ward is better at neutralizing what you want to do in a match rather than looking amazing himself most of the time. Like, when he fought Froch which is probably his best win (I do not count the Kovalev fight and Dawson was a corpse) he negated pretty much anything Froch even tried to do from what I recall. So, if you are just looking at Ward and trying to see the great work that he's doing it isn't going to look that impressive, but when you think about how he has stopped everything his opponent is doing it becomes great. Ward is considered to be a boring fighter though. Not Rigo levels of boring, but he typically isn't someone I'd go out to show my casual boxing friends to make them more interested.

 

when did ya say sarcasm in the 1st place? Or if u meant to say smelling sarcasm then no i was being serious in my previous message.

 

I said maybe LHW, if GGG did go to SMW and possibly LHW and dominate (very unlikely) then in my opinion would be in elite ATG's conversations.
