Fact of the matter is Lewis NEVER faced anybody with the combination of size, hand speed, balance, reach, jab, power and speed of foot like prime Wlad. Also Wlad is smarter than Lewis ever was.

When Wlad has faced pressure fighters that go at him and force him to let his hands go... they ate shots that Lewis wouldn't have been able to swallow. Peter, Brewster, Chagaev, Pulev etc. Wladimir knocks Lewis the **** out within 6 after a few scary moments. If Rahman and McCall could knock Lewis senseless I'm more than certain prime Wlad could manage as well.

 

Who was the one who called Corrie Sanders the night before fighting Wladimir begging him to put pressure on him and let his hands go praying Corrie would score the upset? Lol! Yeah Lewis really wanted to face Wlad huh?!

What makes the match is both relied on jabs to keep control of the opponents. Wlad had the better jab but Lewis had the different change in levels with the jab.I dont believe anyone out jabs Wlad with shot for shot punches thrown.Lewis could fight on the inside or at least punch better there. You cant really compare each competition here bc they are not fighting .Lewis fought better opponents but it doesn't say much,just look at the V. Klitchko fight when Vitali literally fought no one to prepare him for that fight. In ways Wlad matches great with jab set up fighters bc he has the best jab.


The big question will Lewis shut his jabs down going on the inside? Both were equal in size ,Wlad hit harder and could reach Lewis better than anyone Lewis fought.It comes down to who do you think fought better and was harder to defeat under Emmanual Steward? Wlad was the better skilled in technical perspective but Lewis knew how to mix things up better. in the end i believe Lewis would win more than not.I don't believe we ever saw the best Wlad but going on whats available? One major reason for my pick here is Steward constantly had to plead with Wlad to finish fights and follow instruction..Wlads not done YET...but for now.....

I know this poll is a joke. Lewis was outboxed by Frank Bruno, and Vitali Klitschko. Wladimir was never outboxed in a fight until he was bloody almost forty years old. It'I is clear Wladimir is the better boxer, and much quicker with more power. Would it be a easy fight no, but Wladimir clearly wins this fight.

Lewis fought better opponents, don't talk a lot of crap. Who was these better opponents? A washed up Tyson who bummy Williams KO'ed in the first half of their fight, and past it Holyfield, Povetkin would trash both of them.

1. Rahman was a late replacement and didn't even have a camp when he fought Wlad. He wouldn't even take off his top at the weight in. If that wasn't bad enough he was already shot to bits.. It was a joke fight.
2. Wlad avoided Lewis like the plague. He was a 40 fight world champ when Lewis was active and had never , ever sought out a fight with him.
3. Wlad ducked Tua who Lewis embarrassed.
4. Wlad ducked Briggs who Lewis destroyed .
5. Lewis would bomb Peters out in a matter of rounds. Peters gave Wlad life n death and Wlad couldn't do nothing against him apart of hold on for dear life.

6. Lewis has Wlads guts for garters.
