Why do people think Wladimir Klitschko ducked Sanders, Purrity rematch? It was the other way round.

Oh **** sake, Dino back at it again. I just had this same god damn argument with him last week.

The contract as reported gave Sanders the option to defend the title once before rematching, while Wlad took an understandable tune up, originally Tua who dropped out. Yes, Wlad actually wanted Tua as a tune up for Sanders, but Tua backed out over his promotion/management issues. Sanders exercised his option and sought a super fight with Lewis or Roy Jones but the powers that be tried to force him to face Brewster. He went to court, dropped the title, and took on Vitali for the WBC and RING title. He then retired.

The infamous Sanders interview where he discusses Wlad not wanting a rematch, is related to his last comeback, when a rematch would have been utterly pointless. I recall Wlad considering making a voluntary defense against Sanders, but Sanders lost one of his tune ups or something and retired again. The rematch didn't happen in the past because when free of all contracts, Sanders wanted Vitali for all the marbles.

You are wrong. The sanctioning bodies stuffed that one up.

I remember it well, Vlad did all he could to get Corrie Sanders to rematch him, but he refused...............Corrie Sanders was a fantastic boxer whenever he trained, he was in the best shape of his life when he fought Vlad, he was preparing to fight Valouev in South Africa, then Klaus-Peter Kohl had Vlad to fight Sanders................I knew better, warned them, even posted this on ESB, Vlad had just TKO'd McCline when McCline was prime, he was very let down by fighting Sanders, I told them if you win it means nothing, but if you lose you lose a lot. Vlad did not even train for that fight, he lifted weights, did not spar, much less with a southpaw! I warned them that Corrie was called the "Sniper" for a reason..................Vlad came out cold, uninterested in the fight and paid for it. Vlad would have won the rematch, but Corrie would not do it. Vitali beat the living hell out of Corrie..............Corrie would have won the gold medal if he had been allowed to fight in the Olympics, Ask Bobbie Czyz how good Corrie was...................southpaw, 6 feet 5 inches, very long reach, extremely fast, yes, he could have been a world champion, well, he was, but he could have been one for a long time if he had played his cards right............Corrie Sanders was one of my favorite fighters, even Lennox Lewis said that he avoided fighting Corrie..........and for good reason....................I followed him for years, I knew how good he really was, and he was not a golfer, he was very athletic, could do most sports and did play amateur golf, but was a fantastic boxing with talent, lots and lost of natural talent. Those who cut him down know nothing about him...........

Hey stop insulting Trump by including him in the same set as Dino. President Cheetos isn't that crazy. Well, not yet.

I agree with your post, except on the rematch angle. Sanders never refused a rematch - neither of them did. The sanctioning bodies were trying to shoehorn Brewster into a mandatory thanks to the usual Don King shennanigans, and Corrie didn't want to fight Brewster for peanuts, he wanted as many big bucks fights as he could get. If Sanders had been a bit younger I 100% believe that we would have seen the rematch sooner or later. This whole Sanders ducked Wlad or Wlad ducked Sanders angle has NO merit whatsoever. Sometimes stuff just gets in the way.

You really are not the full deck.. Wtf is wrong with you?

You ran away and never returned last week after i asked you to verify all these claims. You also pulled the claim out your ass that the rematch had been scheduled in December 2003. I asked for source - you never returned.

Now , are you going to do the exact same thing here and never come back after i ask you to prove all the lies you have just made up?
When did Tua drop out? When you you read the contract? Post the report that says Wlad allowed him to have a tune up?
Everything you said is a lie.

You just don't get it do you?

Wlad had every right to trigger his rematch option to prove he was the better man. He passed because part of the the plan was for big bro to step in and and avenge the loss for him.
If Wlad hadn't avoided it , Sanders would have been forced into a second fight with Wlad , just like he was being forced into a fight with the WBO's top contender.

Its like when Bute signed two back to back fights with Froch. One in the UK and the second in Canada which never happened because Froch destroyed him in an upset and he never wanted no part of Froch again after that.
Its the same situation. Both passed on perusing their legal hold over a second fight. Thats another form of duck.
If you wren't a casual you'd understand that ducks come in many different various forms.
