How would you advise Kovalev on how to deal with Ward's lunging/bull-rushing tactics?

Do what Ali did to Frazier In The Second Fight, Hold His Head When He Comes In And Jab Behind It,Also Clinch,Kovas To Late In his career to beat a experience inside fighter like ward,also throw uppercuts when he tried coming inside or john Ruiz him ,he goes inside and attacks then moves out Lol ward wouldn't imagine that lolol

 

Kova can go inside another ward then attack then clinch Lololol stroll thru the fight like ward did to many Ppl before kova n like my man john Ruiz did

 

Nothing. He has no choice but to fight Ward on the inside and that means he has to work on his defense. A welll schooled trainer can teach him the art of in fighting. Will it work this late in his career? I'd have to see it to believe it.

 

In big fights they boo you if you clinch too much and they booed Kov last fight.

 

Kov fought a fine fight. Many of his punches missed by inches. All he has to do is keep up the heat. He didn't do that in their first fight.

 

Yeah something like this maybe,he made a huge mistake in doing tit for tat against Ward,whilst I didn't like the result I think in my heart from round three onwards kinda knew Ward would get the win,it's awful to watch cause most of each round doesn't have any boxing in it and the rounds seem to fly by so fast when SOB does that.
Somehow he needs to keep punching as Ward lunges in,easier said than done,also needs to learn Golovkin trick of cutting em off at the pass.

 

Oh no question Ward instigated it but Kov got totally trolled into doing the same

 

So you doubt it's something he can learn so late on,maybe if he had a few showcase fights to work on it but it's hard to find someone who can give you that look.
I reckon Ward would beat Stevenson no problem,I'd like to see that before KOv rematch.
