Good move by Floyd, although he might not make a ton of money with EE fighters, from a marketing point of view

    Good for him
    The Russians love Mayweather
Too bad so many Americans don't appreciate his boxing skills

This could be a cost-effective promotion strategy. Get Eastern European fighters to look up to him (many of them are up and coming) and get them to think "Wow, what a great guy. He opened a gym all the way over here because he cares about me."

This way he can sign them to a way less lucrative contract when it is time for them to turn pro! Improving TMT's stable at a low cost!

Floyds an idiot. He should do this at several inner cities around the country. Pay for all the equipment and buy vans that can pick up kids to train. He`ll find some diamonds in the rough which he can then bring out to train in vegas. Invest now and see the profits later.

Eastern european boxers are doing already great ATM without Floyd. Not only great, boxers from this part of the world are the future of boxing. Not sure Mayweather's style would do great with EE style anyway. One thing is sure with EE fighters: there is no ducking.

There are a lot of talented kids who simply dont have the money to play organized sports so something like this would be great. It would also revitalize boxing which is desperately needed. But floyd doesnt care.

In a rather poor country he might be able to entice some EE talent over to his stable.

To answer all your questions about, why there? It's in a resort town where the super wealthy hang out. Putin vacations at a spa there. No doubt Floyd's business partners footed the entire bill, paid Floyd a license fee for using his name, and Floyd did not have to pay a dime.
