How would you advise Kovalev on how to deal with Ward's lunging/bull-rushing tactics?

The russien tend to bend at the knees kova and GGG also usyk for some reason body movement isn't in theyre training

I think Kovalev did fine on the inside neutralizing Ward by headlocking him or manhandling him. Obviously he got hit few times but it wasn't anything like what Ward was able to do to Froch or Kessler.

Kovalev needs to focus more on the outside, he needs to go for the kill and pressure Ward the entire fight, tire him mentally and give him less time to thing about setting up his (counter)attacks. Ward has no power to threaten him while Kovalev can knock him down easily if he hits him flush.

I don't think Kovalev has the proper physique to ever become a great inside fighter. His best punches are long straight punches that work at range. He just doesn't have good uppercuts.

Kovalev proved who was the far more talented fighter while ward proved who was the far tougher fighter who triumphed only because he proved his dog had much more fight than kovalev. With the drastic (as I pointed pre fight) difference is talent kovalev had zero excuse for letting ward EVER see the late rounds..

Kovalev should had destroyed him in a huge mismatch. Kovalev I believe fatigued from the mental pressure, imo.
If they rematch it's a 50/50 and that's only because the terrible weaknesses kovalev showed, now in back to back fights. Did he get old over night ?

I fully expected kovalev to fight every round like rounds 1 & 2.. ward fought exactly as expected but kovalev proved to be a level below truly ELITE fights. Ggg would 100% stop ward mid rounds, guaranteed

Wtf are you talking about loool! You actually think Kovalev proved his much more elite that Ward? Yet he managed to allow Ward to come back and snatch the victory after losing the first 4 rounds and a knock down.

You need to think about it more logically because you cannot say Kovalev is levels above Ward when he didn't school Ward or knock him out.
