I hear you, but you are living in the past. Even GGG knows that he is not facing the miracle man but the miracle monster. I don't think that it's in the bag for either fighter but for the first time, GGG is aware that he could lose.

 

Didn't see Golovkin's shoes, Jacobs was wearing timbs, making him considerably taller. These are some small men, they both look a little dehydrated (pale, dry). Golovkin has a wide torso with small shoulders. Jacobs looks skinny and tall. So glad this fight is happening! I've been wanting this fight for a while now.

 

Yea I think we get the Golovkin we got against Lemieux; he should respect Jacobs power. I just hope we get a good fight that goes rounds, not a quick KO.

GGG doesn't like fight Pirog. Pirog was a very awkward fighter with fluid upper body movement. He was frustrating Jacobs but Jacobs was still winning the fight. Then he got caught with a punch he didn't see

I agree with you; 6 years is a lifetime in boxing, particularly when you're dealing with a 23 year old vs a 30 year old fighter. GGG isn't selling Jacobs short, and I think fans are making a mistake if they do. It was a similar principle to the Lemieux fight- yeah, David lost while he was younger, but GGG knew better than to take it for granted that he'd be seeing that same fighter.

I have a feeling we're going to see the sharpest work from each man we've seen, knowing that their opponent isn't one to be taken lightly. I don't expect the GGG from the Brook fight or the Jacobs from Mora.

 

That's where I'm at too. I wanna see something special from each fighter. I wanna see the bottom of their hearts on display. A quick knockout won't give me that but a sustained and relentless battle will tell the tale.

Stop trying to make Jacobs massive just to elevate a Golovkin victory. They're both middleweights, end of story. It's like you're implying Golovkin has to overcome a massive size disadvantage, he doesn't.
