How would you advise Kovalev on how to deal with Ward's lunging/bull-rushing tactics?

You've been listening to Wards fans too much. Kov left doubt in the judges hands when he stopped jabbing, and was missing a lot of shots though barely from the 6th round on. He didn't keep up the heat. He was hit and miss more. Imo he shouldn't have lost his titles as I had it a draw but I wasn't surprised at the decision.

Against Ward you have to fight on the inside. If you're not going to fight him on the inside then you have to jab or keep the heat up for 12 rounds.

When has ward fought anyone off the back foot? Never,he pisses his opponents off and humiliates them into fighting his fight, look at his best wins, all against ppl with no inside game ,he knows they have pride and a fan base that loves blood, hence why he manly focuses on pressure fighters that love midrange, forget the super six, everyone if his wins comes from pressure fighters,if kov came into the fight and fought jabbin off the back foot ......what would ward do instead of kov fighting midrange and clinching?
