    From the main site.
That equates to 58/42 split. Now of course we don't know what the PPV and Gate splits will be.
If this fight does 150k PPVs at 60 bucks average that's $9 million / 2 for the network costs thats 4.5 million. Live gate should be at least 3 million. So there's an extra 7.5 million to be made on the back end.

But this guys A side to people like Ward and Canelo lmao. If boxing wants to survive, it needs to stop supporting hypejobs. That **** works with UFC. The biggest diva of the sport is not even hitting a 3 million guaranteed purse. What kind of joke is boxing now days seriously.

That is far cry from the May-Pac era. GGG deserves more than that.

Andre Ward got 5m from the Kovalev fight.

Not as much as he made for Brook, makes sense as this fight won't do half that many buys

Canelo Khan guarantees were 3.5 million Canelo and 2.0 million Khan. Obviously this fight wont do no 600k buys but if it does 200k they stand to make some decent money

Ward sold, in his homecountry, 3k more than Golovkin. A huge percentage bought the event because of Kovalev.

Golovkin is nowhere close to Canelo in PPV numbers, but way above Ward.

You don't even like boxing with the way you talk.

"Mickey Ward can't have fans because he has losses..." "Fans liking Mickey Ward are why society is dumb..."

Boxing has enough negativity without know it all pricks around...

Those figures are disrespectful to golovkin but it's his fault staying in what is now a terrible division. Forget Canelo and move up, that's where the money's at...

"Putting his belts on the line against his toughest challenger for only 2.5 mill, therefore he's a hyejob, the biggest diva in boxing and makes a joke out of boxing."

What an educated, unbiased assessment from a true diehard fan.

Tickets dropped from $500 to $60

    I doubt they break even

Should've taken The generous 15 million from Oscar

Sorry to have to disagree strongly with you, but GGG seems to be in a no-win situation here:
    - gives Jacob a good purse: he's not a draw, he's a hypejob!!
    - doesn't give Jacobs a good purse: he lowballs his opponents!!!

GGG deserves credit for being willing to give Jacobs more than 40%. End of story.

... and to be honest if he's willing to take risks like this against Jacobs, it stands to reason that he'll be willing to sign a deal with Canelo once the negotiations are finalized and complete.
