I struggle to understand how a person can be a vegetarian or how some men don't like women but most of all I cannot fathom how a boxing fan can't be a fan of Gennady Golovkin

 

If this PPV cost $22 like the Brook vs Golovkin PPV did, I'd bet it would do more buys.

 

He was asked about Floyd Mjr, and since he said he'd fight him, all the *****s went nuts! Floyd retired, they jumped on Ward's nuts.

And now since he made Canelo eat his words, he's hated by his fans too. That's basically it.

 

I don't think that's true at all, and I think the teams know that themselves otherwise they would set a lower price. There are major advantages over more buys/less price than less buys/more price even if the revenues they bring in were to be the same.

is the case then I hope all the hype switches to a Golovkin/Ward fight rather than Canelo, it is a far more interesting and in my opinion competitive and the winner could achieve legendary status.

 

The other difference is the entire card for GGG-Lemieux cost less than Ward's guaranteed purse alone. GGG and Jacobs combined are also less than Ward's purse alone.

That's how Roc lost enough that we may end up getting screwed on the rematch. Comparable sales, but they had a much higher breakeven.

Yet, for some reason, I don't see the guys ragging on GGG's sales mentioning that.

 

Lance is just trying to use a lame comparison for a rebuttal. Froch is my second favorite fighter. And no. G fans gave a sigh of relief when they were sure the fight wasn't getting made. They need their hero lore to not get exposed.

2.5 Million purse before PPV cut may not be one of the "big" purses but it's still a lot of money and it keeps Trip G busy with a title defense.

Trip G should win this fight but Daniel Jacobs is a good fighter and I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled off the upset.

 

What do you mean " the WBC belt situation" ? They dont like the fact that Canelo called out GGG in the ring and a couple days later vacated ? And they feel offended by whom ? Golovkin ?

 

It's definitely is true. The difference is that they can charged $20 for a PPV in the UK, and still make money on a big PPV. Over here, you can't, because of how the stuff is set up.

 

It's laughable, if the roles were reversed they would also flip 180°
