I'm honestly thinking Ward is going to retire and won't rematch Kovalev.

I don't understand why he would be ducking behind all the furniture otherwise. If he actually meant to rematch Kovalev then why would he talk about retiring so much; how does that promote the fight? Talk about retiring only confirms in SK's mind that Ward is running scared and if they did rematch would only boost his confidence even more.

It's a pity, but it is what it is.

 

Did you see Kovalev talking with Conor McGregor?

Maybe McGregor notified him that Andre Ward is running from him and from boxing to MMA where he could use his grappling arsenal to the fullest extent. Apparently Ward has already been contacting McGregor's people to fight in Dana White's cockfighting cage and escape certain death against this new bloodthirsty version of Kovalev.

I like kovalev alot and respect him so I wont bash him....but lets be honest...kovalev is much more in need of this rematch happening ASAP.......wards win made him a 2 division champ and solidified his legacy....kovalev lost the first time he stepped up against an A level fighter....ward doesn't need this right away and kovalev is chomping at the bit as obviously he wants to avenge this close loss

ward is in the drivers seat...he'll make the rematch on his time.....if he retires then the rematch was never going to happen anyway....so just wait...if ward fights on he will fight kova...I believe he will fight kova again.....you guys were the doubters who said he'd never fight him in the first place.....so far you people look wrong and very salty....ward hasn't disappointed us...let him work on his time not your ego's time
