No, you got it wrong, I really am a casual, maybe not full-casual but certainly compared to a lot of people who post here. (now you can dismiss my opinion on this even more)

He had a great jab, extremely powerful at the end of an 84" reach, so if you want to call that average then fair enough.
He was also an excellent inside fighter possessed a great left hook and right cross.
He could do it from the outside, mid range and on the inside, like I said a very well rounded fighter.

So he was highly skilled then, it was just the fact he lacked power, that is why he only had a 69% KO rate when he faced Ali, and could not stop somebody with a glass jaw?

Liston was a slow lunger with POOR balance and POOR defense when incoming punches were thrown his way,he also had suspect chin at least thats what getting TKo'd to 175 pounder would show! But lets PRETEND the BIG BEAR would DWARF the MUCh larger /more skilled Joshua and use him as evidence how Ali handled giants ( even though even as an amatuer Joshua was about 20 pounds heavier than Liston) . And the way i described liston is when Ali fought him ( out of prime) we wont use the ACTUAL fighter from 1964/1965 ....we'll use the younger version the one who was a bit better NOT the one Ali fought...lol

Theres literally NOTHING Liston did better than Joshua at ANY age except maybe womanize and pick up chicks though im pretty sure AJ has him beat there too without even trying......inside the ring ,it would be LEVELS of talent difference.!

Ha,ha,ha By about round 8 he wouldn't be able to see Ali either. He'd look like a man trying to fight off a swarm of bees.

Any slight semblance of credibility you may have had on here, and other than from your Alt James you haven't got any, was lost by the following sentence:
"WILDER GETS KNOCKOUTS BY PUNCHING DOWNWARD (GRAVITY DELIVERING MORE VELOCITY)"
So the 2 or 3 inch height advantage Wilder has over most opponents is aided by gravity when he punches downwards!!!
So, that 2 or 3 inch drop is obviously the equivalent of dropping an anvil off the Empire State Building!!
You're just constantly spouting absolute bull**** on here and trying to wrap it up as informed debate.
Please Galvo/James just log off permanently because it's not possible to embarrass yourself any more.

Exactly excellent post. Joshua is far superior at every level than not just Liston, but Ali as well. People are just nostalgic and in denial.

Well James/Galvo Liston didn't have the taller Joshua's obvious advantage of gravity aiding the velocity of his punches.

If a lot of people on this thread want to save face they better hope and pray that Joshua doesn't get sparked by Wlad.

No chance of that is there. Just answer this one question how many 6'6 250 pound muscle monster did Ali ever face?

Anyway James / Galvo you still haven't answered me about the gravity issue, which you seem to be avoiding.

I did not say anything about gravity. That clever dude did and he is probably right he seems to know his stuff.

Ha Ha this is getting better.
So you reckon when you/he says the velocity of Wilders blows are aided by gravity because he's punching down, we should take you seriously?

He was right about the Izu fight, seems to know what is going to happen before it even happens. I bet you did not?
