Why wouldn't Wards fans want to see the rematch? And what qualifies as a true Ward fan. I don't know any Kov fans either, but i see guys who like both fighters here and in the street.
I'm not a fan of Ward stringing Kovalev along. I'm also not a fan of Kathy Duva allowing the contract wording to be such, that Kovalev could get strung along. She should have made sure there was a rematch time frame in the contract. If Kovalev sits on the shelf for 10 months waiting for Ward to make up his mind, that is a time frame where Kovalev could have taken two other fights, and made some money.
True fan is one that refuses to miss fights live and knows the type of fighter he is. They don't want the rematch because they know kovalev is on a different level talent wise and ward couldn't ever truly compete evenly for 12 rounds. They know all ward accomplished was he survived and got a large hometown decision. They also know kovalev will address his only inferior part of his game vs ward and that was consitioning, they easiest attribute for champs to address
Ward has been advised that he just needs to go the distance with his opponents to get the win in the bag. It's disgusting, they don't have confidence that he could survive 12 rounds with a kovalev that is basing his entire gameplan on taking Ward out. The first fight, he didn't feel he needed to ko ward to win, he fought he'd be judged fairly on outboxing him yet didn't realise until it was too late that judges can be bought. Ward is between a rock and a hard place, as if he refuses the rematch he loses his respect and dignity. If he takes it he gets exposed. So the next best option is to stall, play mind games and hope kovalev chooses another opponent, nullifying the rematch clause or he eventually agrees, but by that time kovalev has completely lost his head in frustration and comes into the fight, ditching his gameplan and fighting on pure emotion which ward can exploit. Either way Ward is a slimy coward of a man.

Give that man a rematch. Everybody seems to want it except Ward. Im very disappointed in Ward. This rematch should happen this summer.
Ward grinds in negotiations and he fights once a year, he has been doing this since the Super-6, it's nothing new whatsoever. I don't necessarily need a rematch the first fight was dull and I was disappointed in both guys. I'd rather one fight Stevenson.
