Close fight. COuld have gone either way, I had GGG winning by virtue of the KD.

The funniest thing of all this is the guys who only gave GGG 2 or 3 rounds are crying "robbery". LOL

 

Regardless of who you thought won any of the fights, tonight's card was the best card in a while with three very good fights.

 

Yes, but we know his technique isn't as tight and sharp as Golovkin's. Even when he was sloppy he was still often landing and staying in charge. The less aestetically pleasing guy can still be controlling the action.

 

Imagine how much money will go through Las Vegas for a Canelo-GGG fight.

I mean, Mayweather had his custodial sentence suspended for a few months so he could fight Cotto and because an extra $500,000,000+ could go through the Legas economy. You dont get cash boosts like that often. Its usually the same money doing a cycle.

Jacob's couldn't contain himself he was going through roid rage as the rounds went by, even hitting after the bell and acting the thug towards GGG when he was trying to walk back to his corner. It also gave him a second, third and fourth wind to keep going after receiving punches that would knock out a elephant.

He fought well, but he lost a close decision by a fair result.

Jacobs imo was affected by coming in heavy. Imo he gassed. The southpaw style really threw GG off track. In fact GG was only landing when Jacobs went orthodox. Jacobs probably should've stayed southpaw and turned orthodox but just in this fight staying orthodox cost him. GG's jab dictated the fight. He pulled out the 12th clearly and won the fight on my card.

 

Yes, I had Jacobs by 1, though I will rewatch of course. It was a close fight though, much like Ward-Kovalev to be honest IMHO. And similarly I can't call it a robbery, too many people I respect had it for Golovkin.

Jacobs is legit, and his chin isn't bad at all.
