Because he turned into a Diva, saying he wouldn't fight credible opponents unless he was paid big money. He turned down rematches with Cuadras, and Estrada, guys that gave him tough fights, and also turned down a fight with Inoue. So it's poetic justice that he fights this guy, and loses. Not that I am cool with a robbery, because it was, but he should have took one of the other bouts against known guys, instead of taking a bout against a guy whose previous to fights were against guys making their pro debut.

It was a funny fight, GGG landed more jabs and did more damage. But Jacobs landed more "normal" power punches.

Yall need to give up this "Jacobs survived 12 rounds so you think he won argument" lmao. It's utterly ******ed. Lederman was finally right tonight. Who ever wins the 12th wins the fight and GG won the 12th. Jacobs gassed probably because of the weight, the jab, and body shots.

Golovkin could lose easily. Perhaps Jacobs should have landed more than GGG thst would be a start. After he got that down or close to it then he could have moved on to loading up on some hard brutal shots.

I also had 500 on it to go the distance, easy win. Unlike you who claimed GGG would destroy Jacobs haha. Hope you didn't put any money on that, if you have any.

what i dont get is why would he fight the thai where he is getting paid less than he would have vs those others? the thai was obviously dangerous and tough as hell. if you are going to have a tough fight why not get paid more vs a guy with higher name value where you get more credit for the victory?

I meant 115-112 Jacobs, not 116-111. I noted the kd round wrong. 8-4 then the knockdown for GGG.

Well I haven't seen the fight yet but am following the comments with interest.

    Seems to me that :

    1) Golovkin is either getting old or showed DJ too much respect
    2) Jacobs is a lot tougher in the chin than anybody including me, thought
    3) Jacobs was every bit as good as advertised. Instead of people complaining that GGG was "exposed" how about people thank their stars that there are two great fighters in the division instead of just 1?

    and

    4) If Golovkin outlanded him in volume of punches, did more damage and got the KD, AND is the champion and the aggressor in the fight, then there's little basis for crying 'robbery'.

I do however agree that they should rematch based on what has been written here.

landing clean punches is effective aggression i.e. not blocked by gloves and such, your mixing what you like in boxing with how it's actually scored.

    Really, that's the reasons?

OK thank you for answering, personally I don't think he calls fighters boys to demean them, it's a language thing, in the gym, you hear fighters say all the time "he is a great kid" it's not meant as an insult but if that bothers you then fine.

    Mexican Culture? How?

He wanted to take fights in different weight classes and didn't for whatever the reason and that bothers you? OK

    What criticism can't he take?

The Canelo thing is a joke, I can't take that seriously, anyway Canelo isn't a middleweight remember? But is now fighting a catchweight of 164.5.

From what I saw (limited stream quality here in Rome) I had ggg winning by a couple of rounds.

Jacobs was almost always on the back foot, engaging now and again but GGG was the aggressor.

Compubox has GGG outlandish Jacobs comfortably.

I think the "robbery" shouters are a mix of Canyellow fans or casuals who think surviving against GGG wins you a round.

Next stop is Canyellow, but I'm sure he'll continue to duck

Jacobs didn't really gas in the 12th. GGG landed some good stuff but Jacobs responded to everything. Neither guy seized the intiative, and like a lot of rounds it was close.
