The jump in weight has given us 2 for 2 lackluster performances by a supposed p4p king. I felt he won tonight and yes the thai was a durable work horse but if he could not get him out of there i expected a schooling of inside fighting when it was just a blood and guts war. From what iv heard tho the thai is no bum (though he has not been on my radar)
Gonzalez won the fight, he was cheated. He was headbutted several times, ref took a point...................................
Roman got robbed hard... he also had the better punches... I hope they rematch.i also think he should move back down to 112
2 lackluster performances? You mean 2 fight of the year candidates against champs and former champs. He won the Cuadras fight 8 rounds to 4 throwing nearly 1000 punches and landing 322, 65 more than his opponent. Tonight Gonzalez threw over 1000 punches and connected 441 times, 157 times more than his opponent. In what world is that lackluster? This content is protected
This. He's moved up in weight too much and probably too quick. Pound for pound he's a superior fighter to the Thai boxer. Fights aren't fought in a pfp world though, today Gonzales was merely a fighter fighting well above his natural fighting weight.
Gonzalez wants an immediate rematch when cuadras didn't get one. Serves him right. Would like to see cuadras take the title and Gonzalez have to beg him for a shot.
No, he's just fighting in a division that was a bridge too far. Sor Rungvisai is a beast, just like Cuadras was a beast, and you can't trade with guys who have a clear as day size and power advantage over you without paying the price. This is like asking after Canelo goes to SMW and gets beaten by Giovanni De Carolis, if he got exposed. No, he's just too damn small to be fighting guys that big.
remember who he took the throne from? p4p no 1's dont look like that often after 2 fights yes cuadras is a great fighter but he is better then ward or kov? prob not. at this rate he wont be p4p no 1 in one or two more fights.
