Brook in no way comparable to Leonard as a fighter.

I personally always felt SRL was slightly overrated and although I am not 100% on the GGG fan train I do believe he would catch SRL and end it with a KO anywhere from 4 - 7 rounds

Wow. GGG - SRL is 50-50 on Classic. That right there is an embossed endorsement for Golovkin. He can retire now, job done! ;)

In light of the Jacobs fight are opinions swayed on this matchup?

GGG looks over the hill, still doesn't change the facts he was an animal at his peak.

On an all time great list I'm sure that Sugar Ray will be above Golovkin. Leonard is one of the greatest ever but at middleweight GGG would outwork Ray and win a close but convincing decision.

On the the evidence of last night Leonard would light Golovkin up like a fukin Christmas tree. I do however feel GGG is definitely past his prime.

Leonard had the speed, experience, head movement and footwork angles to decision GGG.

Prime SRL, quite possibly. But 35 year old SRL?

Prime vs Prime doesn't work for Ray, because at his prime he weighed 147 which is way too small
to get in there with GGG. An older SRL, fighting at 154, would outbox GGG just like Jacobs did
last night. Only it would be easier to judge even for the most casual of observers (like Harold
    Lederman apparently).

I don't see a KO from either guy. Certainly not Ray KOing' GGG under any circumstances.

    I believe Golovkin would win.
    I haven't yet seen Golovkin-Jacobs. I don't think it matters.
I doubt Golovkin is still prime and I should also doubt that SRL was ever as good as Jacobs at middleweight (and SRL clearly far lighter than Jacobs was this fight!).

SRL's entire middleweight record is the Hagler fight, which I felt he lost anyway. Great performance from Leonard there but I thought he was edged by a past prime (but still decent) Hagler.
Golovkin has never been as skilled as Hagler but I think he hits a bit harder and he'd have battered that version of SRL.

If you take Ray from the Hagler fight and match him with modern Golovkin it makes for an interesting match up. Personally I think Golovkin will be able to hurt Ray throughout whenever he lands. Leonard would use his boxing skills to rattle off combinations on Golovkin and I think would be able to steal and win rounds that he likely takes more damage in. I think 12 rounds would actually benefit Leonard in this match up. I think he'd survive 12 with Golovkin but may have a tough time in the late rounds especially over 15 if Golovkin works his body. I think Golovkin would've been a good 15 round fighter with his pressure style and great conditioning.

Overall I'm gonna pick Ray, his greatness carried him through against an equally dangerous Hagler and I think he'd be able to pull off a similar feet against Golovkin.

srl not strong enough for the true middleweights . I wouldn't put srr at the top that some have either, again not strong enough. There up there but natural great middles beat them imo Hagler monzon and yes ggg etc Before anyone brings it up, Hagler was a tired version of himself v srl. He wasn't right for Mugabi either

I still think GGG would win. He appears to be slowing down but he also gave respect to a 180 pound Jacobs. I don't think he'd be so hesitant against Leonard.
