I agree with everything here. Ive watched ggg for years and hes been on the slide for a while now. Timing speed is gone...Next fighter any good will beat him imo...Hope its not canelo though...If it is, golden boys plan would've worked to a t..... At the same time I think he has to accept canelos offer or face losing to someone for a fraction of that now..Hes tired looking in there
The fire was gone last night, towards the end he didn't want to dig deep and fight fire with fire. For a fighter who isn't blessed with fast hands he should be working on it like mad, those single shots he keeps doing on the pads are having a negative effect on his performance in my eyes, both trainer and fighter have fallen too much in love with his single shot power.
This is what happens when a bum basher steps up a level. He best stay well away from Eubank Jr and Canelo will exploit his slow hands and telegraphed punching something fierce. Don't think he has long left at the top tbh.
after the beatdown jacobs put on triple duck you will not see him in the ring with anything close to a contender let alone a charlo. Its back to rolling winos for gstring the taxi driver.
I certainly underestimated Jacobs ability, I thought he would collapse early when hit. I was so wrong about that, and full credit to the guy for fighting a great fight.
Yes we have but he still has enough in the tank for 3-4 more good bouts. Jacobs was huge last night and is a good fighter.
He's never been in with this kind of quality before, so it's hard to say. Brooks is probably the closest in terms of speed and technique and he also puzzled Golovkin a bit. If Golovkin had recorded a convincing win over Martinez some 5-6 years back, yes, then it would have been a quite natural conclusion that age was a factor in the problems Jacobs gave him. As it is, it's hard to say. Most of the best around are around his age. Rigo somewhat older, Kova only a year younger and Ward not much younger than him. Wlad and Floyd were nr at HW and p4p respectively at 35, with more and tougher fights behind them. So 35 is not an advanced age anymore, and Golovkin has had a shorter and easier pro career than most his age, so there's not strong reason to believe he's on the slide. It's not impossible, but it's probably more down to the quality of opposition.
cruiserweight, god theres excuses then theres blind stupidity.. Hes a big middleweight, leave it at that
You ignorant ape. There are no excuses, it is what it is. GGG won, and did it by outboxing this cheat. Did you see the size of Jacobs? Do you realise there has been news that he re-hydrated himself up to 190lbs after missing the second weigh in?
