Hopkins wins clear, how wide, depends on which years you are talking. The Hopkins that whooped Trinidad, and Holmes, probably blanks Golovkin on the cards, he would play it safe and box Golovkin. The younger Hopkins though, would brutalize Golovkin inside and outside. It would likely be fairly entertaining. I doubt Golovkin's face would hold up. I could see a TKO, or an 8 rounds to four type of mugging
Translation= Jacobs was better. Golovkin 'pulled it off' only because he is one of very few draws left in American boxing. He was given an unwarranted decision so not to squander the mega fight with Canelo. It was a a political and economical decision. Credit to Jacobs for being the real victor. .
Yes I did face reality,GGG inside Defense Was Winky Wright Like,And His Slipping Skills Was Duran Like,Jacobs Landed Less Then 70 punches all night,And His Pro Record is one thing. If you wanna play that game who has rigondoux beat? Or Spense? Or Crawford????
Jacobs is great,he executed a great dightplan with his team but he clearly lost this fight by 4-5 points
The only real victor is me..I told you Jacobs would be over 170 in the fight. Admit you were wrong, Duckman, be a man, not a duck.
cept i dont deride white fighters....i like kovalev and loma...i never talk bad about them.....its just made up in your head...like most of the stuff you spew when you make excuses for golovkin
Who wouldn't struggle with Jones Jr. at middleweight? During Hopkins prime years, he only struggled for a few rounds against Robert Allen, and by the half way point of the rematch, Hopkins was in control. The Allen from the first fight would have given both guys last night, serious issues. I don't even count the first Mercado fight, because if you sent Golovkin to fight at 9400 feet, in a 100 plus degree arena, against a Native fighter, and big middleweight, you'd probably find that Golovkin's chin would turn to butter as well.
Rigondeaux beat the 2012 fighter of the year. Crawford, beat Postol. Spence, hasn't beaten anyone yet.
Golovkin isn't just a pressure fighter. He has the best jab ive seen at middle in years, and heavy with it. The mans an excellent all rounder. Chin, balance, timing, ring generalship, cutting off the ring... All ive just stated is on the waine with him now. Hes been my favourite fighter for 5+ years, and ive seen him slow up massively and although he takes the shots off Brook and the odd one from Jacobs they are leaving there print. He doesn't take them as well anymore. He took some heavier one shots from Lemieux and ate them..If I was him, id get ready as best physically and mentally possible and take one more against canelo and retire. Hopefully with an unblemished pro record to be proud of and an amateur record that's as good as u will ever see. Hes so much better than Jacobs, the fact it was close should tell everyone ggg is near the end
I fear that you may be right. I think he's got to break the Hopkins record, and then consider how much longer he wants to go on. There's BJS at home, then hopefully Canelo and then ... ?
Hopkins fought 2 athletic 160lb fighters in Jones and Taylor and went 0-3. Jacobs reminds me of Taylor in a lot of ways only with a much better punch. Hopkins went life and death with Allen, GGG beats Hopkins in a competitive fight on points.
