I'm kind of astonished that GG and Jacobs are being criticized over

cheap, bull**** outlooks. GG didn't look old or look like he was slipping and Jacobs didn't get survival points just for lasting. Stop overrating GGs performance saying he won by 3 or more points, and stop saying Jacobs overachieved or won by 2 or more points. It was a chess match. It was a very close and a very good fight.

I think that where the fight changed is when GG started landing his uppercut. GG's jab was expected by me, but the uppercut slowed Jacobs imo. It seemed to jolt Jacobs. Jacobs showed a great chin and GG did too.

GG was hurt to the body at times and GG hurt Jacobs to the body, and neither showed it. Clever. GG's right hand was also a big weapon early. Jacobs adjusted. Jacobs jab and straight left was big early, GG adjusted to the southpaw style of Jacobs. Both were adjusting to each other every round.

GG's jab was the main reason why he won. Actually his cutting off the ring gave Jacobs no rest and forced him to fight every minute of every round which is why Jacobs dropped after the final bell.

You look stupid trying to belittle either guy and making a clear case as to why each won. This was not a hard fight to score at all. Round 1 imo was probably the hardest round to score. Jacobs wasn't nearly as bad as some claim and GG is not slipping.

GG's defense is underrated. He blocked some hellacious shots from Jacobs, and took some too. And Jacobs took some hellacious shots. Jacobs made GG miss a lot too. Jacobs landed shots that made GG's approach cautious. Both tasted each other's power early. Jacobs wasn't hurt after the knockdown. In fact he fought well after the knockdown.

There is nothing wrong with saying GG won a super close fight. Imo he won and winning is all that matters. Jacobs wasn't just game. He had a chance to win the fight going into round 12. The crowd booed GG afterwards but not heavily because it was a good fight.

    Excellent post by Blizz ^

Fact is we knew Jacobs was good. But maybe I and others like me were sort of writing off his destruction of Quillin as a bit of luck, and over-emphasising his alleged fragile chin.

Jacobs showed us that his chin is just fine, his heart is fine and that his skills are legit.

I gave Jacobs a puncher's chance, expecting him to win by KO early, or to get stopped late. Never did I think he'd be chugging along in the late fight with a pressure guy like GGG, especially given this supposed glass chin he's got.

I would very much like to see a rematch sometime. :deal:

GG doesn't need a rematch now. Maybe later down the line...but Jacobs might be at 168 lol. The superfight with Canelo is on!!! I just don't want GG to fight Saunders and then Canelo and wear himself out. That would be too much training.

Jacobs took away GG's left hook. GG took away Jacobs right hand.

theres always gonna be negative people. most of the time there people who never been in the ring. that was a good fight. to really good fighters. jacobs is a beast an he can beat all these guys at 160.

either jacobs chin is legit or the weight advantage really helped him take a punch because ggg hit him hard plenty of times

i had jacobs winning 4 rds . so ggg deff won the fight was still kinda close tho. jacobs didnt land enough clean shots but he deff got a few in there.

When it comes time for a fight I uncork more than a good one lol. All I do is keep it real because fighters deserve it. Most of the time I'm arguing with **** posters before the fights. That's what you catch more than just my pre and post fight comments lol. We all must be real judging fights.

    That's a great breakdown
I had ggg winning 8 rounds, easily won 7 rounds. There were rounds where Jacobs was the busier guy. Jacobs couldn't trouble Golovkin much to be frank. And ggg laid it on him hard on the 9th. He pressed it on the 11th and 12th

People should be ashamed at how they are talking about Danny. DJ is a good fighter. Let's see how other 160s handle him
