I'm kind of astonished that GG and Jacobs are being criticized over

This fight and kovalev vs ward was not even close at all, people just see what they want to see. When you're billed as a killer if you go all the rounds people automatically think you lost. Glad they didn't rob GGG, too bad for kov.

I didn't listen to half of the posters who belittled him. I knew that it would be a tough fight for both guys. The winner deserves big props and the loser mad respect. In my mind GG is the best MW in the world bar none!

What a great write up/breakdown and you're right neither deserves any hate but it's something we see so often now and it's even worse on news 24 on the comments sections.
Remember something from Lennox Lewis about not possible to knock everybody out and at some point someone will be able to cope with the power, usually a levels thing.
Jacobs defo had the respect of Golovkin last night so when folk were saying why doesn't GGG throw more power shots it may have been a case of he couldn't and that's why I totally agree with this post as so many on here just aren't subjective and maybe take it all a little to serious anyway.

This was the most dangerous fight GG has been in and he came out fine. It isn't hard to keep it G. Whether Danny turns into a H.O.F fighter or John Mugabi...GG deserves props for the win.

You gotta ask yourself what caused the complacency.

Exactly I mean he wasn't sticking his head down and trying to walk through him like he did v Brook and many others,I though that GGG showed that he has nerves last night as he looked nervous to me with all there is at stake ect but I look at that as a good thing, shows he's human and that it really matters,if Canelo and Oscar should they get the win against Chavez make other plans for September as is they're wont to do,GGG could do no worse than give Jacobs a rematch.

Oh I never thought he'd lost but to say it wasn't close is a bit off the mark,I noticed Kellerman and RJJ had it up for grabs going into the final round.
Take you're point though about it going the distance,I've always believed that boxing at the top level is all about beating those you're supposed to beat and coming good in the big fights,I know Floyd would never have let a few rounds go by early on,he was so good over the first seven rounds, actually those first two rounds on reflection were poorly done by both guys and in Jacobs case had he of done more to win those we would of seen a different result.

GG is the clear number 2 pfp behind Ward and if Ward doesn't rematch Kov, he will be my pfp #1.
