Lol for someone who thinks they are right, you make a awful habit of being consistently wrong. No wrong again Izu was favourite to win, and 90% of the people on this forum picked Izu to win.

Joshua is obviously a hard hitter, very few of his opponents are rendered unconscious though, quite a few are still on their feet.
Also who's ever argued that Ali was a murderous hitter?
He had surprising power though, especially in that right hand.

In an earlier post I'd said I think Joshua has a shout of being the best heavy of his generation, being a Brit I hope he goes all the way.
It's just the outlandish claims being made about his skills and the fact he's fought mediocre opposition which I argue against, especially when he's being compared to Ali and other greats.
Now it may well be at the end of his career when he's actually achieved, that I will turn round and say well Joshua, would have had a shot against Ali.
    Until then I'll reserve judgement.

    Perfectly reasonable post. :)

I also agreed earlier that AJ is special and may go on to be somebody great.

But he's fought nobody worth mentioning, let's be honest, and even Gramps Wlad is probably not going to be a very good measuring stick if Wlad is anywhere near as shot as he seemed in the Fury fight.

I think it's fair to ask for a dozen more fights and 3-4 years more before we start tripping over our feet proclaiming him the greatest ever

GALVATRON not only predicted Braezeale beating Izu but he broke down exactly how he would do it, it was impressive. And your wrong about him being favourite, Breazeale was a 3-1 dog.

Ali is tiny next to AJ. Joshua would need to turn out to be David Price 2 in chin and stamina for Ali to have a chance. Believe your own eyes rather than your heart.

AJ is tiny next to Valuev. Valuev would beat him to a pulp.

Come on bud, lets try to be a bit sensible. Take Usyk, he is about Ali size and mobile and very skilled, would you favour him over AJ?

Yes, but the difference between Valuev and Joshua is Joshua is athletic and highly skilled, Valuev is just big.
A small guy can beat a big guy if he is far more athletic, or skilled than him. If they are equally athletic and skilled, the big guy wins.

Usyk != Muhammad Ali, good though he may be.

There are lots of guys that look absolutely unbeatable and then once they step it up in class come apart at the seams.

Ali is not far more athletic though is he. Ali is not more skilled either.

    Another disciple I see.
    Usyk isn't Ali.

I know Usyk isn't Ali, I am simply trying to make the point that size matters more when it can be properly utilised. If you guys think Ali is so skilled that he would overcome the physical advantages AJ has as well as his own considerable skills (even if not totally battle tested) then that's ok. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I don't deserve to be labelled stupid for my own as I have studied the evidence we have and considered the opposing view before I arrived at it.
