As can be seen by watching Joshua and Ali, Joshua is far more athletic and more skilled.
Ali was so skilled Norton could out jab him, and Frazier could score left hooks against him all night long, that would not happen against Joshua because of his superior skill level.

I'm pretty sure I didn't call you stupid.

I'll listen to any well-constructed argument, and even gave Galvatron credit earlier for putting forth a decent argument for supporting his views.

All I'm saying is let's see more of AJ before putting him in a glass case.

SIGH. Norton and Frazier were exceptional, and seasoned warriors.

It's like talking in a bucket around here.

Be sure that if Wlad - ANCIENT Wlad - lights AJ up I'll be back to clonk some heads :roto2lol:

    :ciao:

Norton out jabbed Ali, because of Ali's lack of skill, Ali pulled his right hand to his side and left himself open to Norton's jab. Frazier landed left hooks all night, because of Ali's lack of skill again dropping his right hand so low when uppercutting Frazier he was open to the left hook. Joshua is far more skilled this is not even debatable.

Of course size can matter, that's why we have weight divisions.
It also depends who the smaller man is and who the bigger man is.
In Joshua who I like, I see largely a statuesque fighter with an upright stance, minimal head movement and moderate foot speed but for a big man quite decent.
He's got good hand speed and a decent array of punches, although he does rely a lot on the 1-2.
However statues no matter how big are not going to beat Ali. In my opinion he wouldn't get near a prime Ali.

If Frazier was landing left hooks against Ali all night long how come he did not knock him out? Henry Cooper landed one good left hook on Ali and nearly knocked him out as you say. Frazier landed on him "all night long" as you say and only knocked Ali down once. Does Henry Cooper hit harder than Frazier?

60s Ali could not take a punch well. When Ali got older and gained weight he developed a better ability to take a punch, Frazier did KD Ali.

That's a pretty big increase in chin. He went from being almost taken out by one left hook from Henry Cooper to taking left hooks "all night long" from Frazier.

I already said that Frazier knocked Ali down you don't have to repeat it.

The change in chin durability is unrealistic and therefore did not happen. Sure he was a little more durable but to go from getting almost taken out by one left hook from Cooper to taking left hooks "all night long" from Frazier one of the greatest left hookers in heavyweight boxing history is unrealistic and therefore did not happen.

What has been your point of arguing that Joshua knocks Ali out based upon the Cooper fight if you are now admitting that Ali's chin got better?

You're tying yourself up in knots here boy.

It did happen 60s Ali was chinny. 70s heavier Ali could take a punch better. Ali was almost KO'ed by Cooper.

I just can't wait for Joshua to KO Wladimir is the first 30 seconds. This poll will go from 95-52 for Ali, to 52-95 for Joshua. Not long now.

Norton was actually catching Ali's jab with his right hand by his face while firing back his own counter jab. This is ironically what Joshua also does alot except he doesnt lean back he fires extreme power shots with actual leverage on them unlike Norton who had to lean back bc he didnt have the overall length to do that. Yet somehow Joshua is going to lose here ?

Ali didnt even have the power to hurt Norton who maybe hit slightly harder than Ali but wasnt known as a hard puncher. When you put all the common sense together its pretty evident why beyond size Ali is in a huge up hill battle against anyone remotley like Joshua who outweighed Norton by as much as 40 pounds in some fights.:ggg

Here you are confused again. I did not deny that Ali's chin got better, I am denying that he was so chinny to the point where one left hook from "feather fisted" (your words) Henry Cooper could almost knock him out but he can take left hooks "all night long" (your words) from Frazier and only get knocked down once.

I would be weary of that question bc unlike my reasonable posts, they will think its real and mark him as the next big thing. Ive already seen several posters claiming Usyk would become HW champion, even though taking a look at him he would be lucky to break the top 20!!!!! Dont put it past THESE guys who take the illogical over logical points! :watchout:

It does make sense PUNCHING DOWN will have more force than punching up...that is common sense to anyone who knows punching mechanics...UNLIKE THEM! ;)
