Canelo just lost 8 million in a court case....That might have to come out of GGGs pocket

    7 million

Were the PPV numbers from the Lemieux fight ever confirmed? Keep hearing either 150 or 97k, would be interesting to know if his PPV numbers have risen.

Virtually every article on them, and aside from a handful of idiotic poster here, see the lemmy buys at 150K.

Well then im not sure if his popularity has risen. The gate was higher but the venue was in Jacobs' homecity and no doubt many of his fans came to support him. Strange that GGG isnt more popular especially since there is kind of a vacuum going on and Pacquiao's ppv numbers are declining. Its not that GGG isnt american because neither was pacman. And he even has that nemesis/future opponent in Canelo that pac had in floyd. I guess people are still too disgruntled with buying ppv's

150k doesn't seem too bad if this is true. I kind of expected this to do worse.

Pacman came on in his 20's though. Was fortunate enough to have big name dance partners in his divisions that helped build his base. But you may have a point about disgruntled buyers. I don't believe 3G v Jacobs was a PPV worthy fight. But unfortunately that's how it was made.

I know a lot of ppl who will never buy another PPV so this is actually decent for the degree of unknown.

You're right, Pac fought bigger names and came on earlier.
GGG is 35 and still the best in his division currently. If he had bob arum as a promoter from the beginning his career would have been much different.
Shame really. But K2 isnt doing that good of a job either. I dont know why so many EE fighters go to K2

    Agreed.

I guess if it's between K2 and Universum, they chose the lesser of the evils? ;)

My understanding was always that the 97k/100k was US only and 150k was including Canadian PPV?
