Good points in this post . I also feel stylistically Jacobs is a much bigger threat to Triple G compared to Canelo . Jacobs had a couple of advantages against Triple G . Height , Reach and was faster as we all saw . Good footwork by the way as well. It helped him a lot . That's what Canelo needs to beat Triple G and I feel he iz just too damn stationary and that will work against him . Judging from what Oscar said Jacobs came up short because he showed too much respect and Canelo won't do that ? If he iz implying Canelo will be more willing to exchange with Triple G , then his cash cow iz a knockout waiting to happen.

Golovkin could get his with a jackhammer right on the button and his head wouldn't snap back, that's how solid his upper torso is. Does'nt mean the punches weren't being landed.
Jacobs was landing plenty and in combination, which is something Golovkin wasn't allowed to do by Jacobs.

Cant judge a connect only by seeing a head snap back.

......and btw, Jacobs head did snap back on a occasion, but not with the consistency you talk about.
In fact, imo Jacobs got hit clean very infrequently by GGG.
Jacobs to me landed cleaner shots with more frequency than the G'ster.

 

Golovkin has such a good and hard jab. It reminds me a bit of Old Foreman's 2x4 jab that he used to bust people up with.
