    Interesting post,mate!
    Just compare the Poles' early opposition to Pirog's first few fights! Pirog surely had to walk through the jungle whereas the Pole strolled through a tamed backyard garden.
    Hell,Pirog fought Tatovsyan in his 3rd pro fight.Pure madness as he was no Vasyl Lomachenko,the best amateur fighter of all times,who had beaten any amateur who had ever crossed his way!
    Damn! Pirog could have been a great fighter playing in GGG's league today!
    Besides his style was truly unique,fun to watch.

    Pirog would have been an easy KO for Golovkin. Pirog wasn't particularly powerful and he wasn't particularly fast and he wasn't particularly mobile. A little too stationary to trouble Golovkin. To "trouble" Golovkin, you have to be very quick on your feet, survival-minded, and engage as little as possible while going backwards.

    You re entitled to your opinion.I doubt that Pirog would have been an easy ko for GGG.Nah! Dont get me wrong! I would have bet my money on GGG,too.Neverthless,Pirog could punch and had some pop in his fists.Besides he was slippery like an eel inside a box ring.If Murray was able to go 11 rounds with GGG then Pirog would have been able to so,too.
    However,defeateing GGG is a different game!

    What do you think about Froch and GGG now? Hmm. Could GGG take the Froch bombs he landed on Bute?

    Even Ward IMO probably wouldn't take those punches, those punches looked crazy.

    Exactly. Both were essentially autodidacts in the game but they represent proof there's a right way and wrong to be self-taught in any human endeavor. Pirog learned the rules so he knew how to break them. Proksa just winged it.

    Mind you I felt this way a year before Golovkin fought Jacobs to give us a direct h2h measuring stick in common at the elite level (the empirical results of which are more flattering to Grandmaster)
