well, those of us that bought the ppv got our money's worth. It was an extremely exciting night of boxing.
What I found odd was, very few said they were going to actually buy 3G versus Jacobs. Next morning, all these 3G haters commenting on how Jacobs was robbed. Hell, one blatantly admitted to not having even watched but part of one round, and STILL felt good enough reading comments here that jacobs was robbed.
I wonder how long it'll be before the forums resident morons start claiming the Jacobs fight did 97k.
Those articles are all quoting the same source. The Lemiuex PPV #s have never been confirmed. 150K is hearsay..
Yeah but alot of these fighters from communist/ex communist countries are making bad choices in terms of finding the right promoter. Same with Gamboa, Ortiz hasnt gotten the exposure he deserves either
No. HBO rarely ever confirms the numbers. When they do, those numbers are accurate, as they legally have to report accurate information on those things. The 97k number came from Rick Glasser. The 150k number, I believe came from ESPN. But my personal take has always been (and this is just a guess) that the EXACT number is never, or rarely, released. The numbers released are based on estimates, then ultimately calculate a range of numbers.
GGG can't demand anything from Canelo. The reality is Canelo brings all the money to the table. Anyone thinking Canelo should give 50/50 or even 60/40 isn't being realistic.
