Foreman was exhausted. Ali said if ' I caught him with the same punch earlier, he would've took it.'.

I think people are missing the point here.
The agenda ridden OP asked is Ali the most feather fisted heavyweight champion ever.
Most posters with a modicum of knowledge are quite reasonably arguing that Ali wasn't feather fisted. They are presenting evidence from fights against in some cases granite chinned opponents to back that up.
At the same time nobody is suggesting that Ali was a power punching knockout specialist.
However the members of the Clueless Clan in here can't seem to grasp that.
I mean he stopped Bonavena in the 15th round so it doesn't count.
    You despair really.

Yes, and the Bonavena ko was a once in a million type thing as well.

ali was far from feather fisted he could punch make no mistake about it when he hit you it had your respect but ofcourse he had not big power.

The shots that you don't see hurt you and ali could punch you when you never expected it which made his shots seem harder

    it can't be
only a casual troll could compare ali who is probably the greatest ever with aj who won the belt from who?
    exactly.
ali dominated for well over a decade even when part of his prime was taken from the government.
    but...yeah, sure.
    this is a serious thread.
    smh.

you do realize that this is not cassius clay we are talking about.
    this is ali.
we never saw a prime clay because he was jailed
what came out was another person with varied interests who was not a prime boxer anymore
that is who faced frazier who he beat twice and norton who he beat twice.
btw he fought through both men with a broken jaw
    food for thought.

Frazier never broke his jaw, your exaggerating. His jaw blew up from the left hook landing regular and hard. If u were talking about clay I wouldn't be bringing up Frazier and Norton would i, silly Billy !

Frazier did not break Ali's jaw and the broken jaw vs Norton occured in the 12th round, not the first as Ali worshippers like to contend. What other false Ali legends would you like to try to create this morning?

"Cassius Clay" had changed his name to Muhammad Ali by the time of the first Frazier bout...he changed his name in 1964 to be exact. You weren't aware of that obviously because you probably hadn't been born at that time...you write as though you hadn't been born until way after Ali's last bout.

The Lyle, Foreman, Williams, and Bonavena knockouts suggest otherwise. Good stoppages of sturdy fighters, Foreman was tired but it still took power in that right hand to turn the trick. The Bonavena TKO in particular is a convincing display of power. One of the more durable heavyweights in history, coming strong when one sneaky punch had him falling all over the ring.

Please enlighten us further on your understanding of fluid dynamics...and how it applies to boxing, as opposed to an object in free fall.

All this physics talk....and here I was thinking punching power came from developing you chi, and grunting or exhaling like a hooker in heat.

it's funny how people expose their idiocy by attempting to expose others as idiots.
    ok.
does your post address the FACT that ali STILL had the first frazier fight after he had been imprisoned from ages 25 to 29?
older does not mean wiser and another approach would have served you better instead of what you were able to conjure.
    please don't reply
    i hate being the bully
