Once again: You haven't read what's been written. I said I respected other people's views if they were logical.

I don't respect Bailey's opinion, because he's a fanboy who ignorantly thinks he'd have won the Super Six with ease, despite the fact that there were a number of guys who he didn't beat with ease.

If you've read his posts over the years, you'll know what a character he is.

Bailey would have Joe beating a peak Roy Jones, as he couldn't tell the difference between Roy from 1999, and the version who Joe fought in 2008.

Bailey is the guy who thinks Carl Froch would have beaten Roy.

Bailey is the guy who thinks that David Haye would have beaten Mike Tyson.

He's hilarious, but nobody takes him seriously.


Now explain to me how you've got the audacity to call someone dumb and ignorant, when you're claiming that Joe would have mutilated Chad Dawson, yet you can't give a logical reason as to why you hold that opinion.

The fact is: It was a close fight with Reid, he struggled with Bernard, and he had a tough day at the office against Bika.

Joe could definitely have beaten Ward. There's not a doubt in my mind that he could have done. He was a great fighter. But for someone to say he'd have beaten him with ease, or he'd have won the Super Six with ease, is just complete ignorance.

It's not a given that Joe would have overwhelmed Andre Ward.

 

It seems like most think it comes down to Joe and Ward in the final. I may be maligned for this opinion, but I am not so sure he gets past Froch, and especially not as easily as some might think.

Froch had unreal stamina and would not have been deterred for one second by Joe's punches due to his granite chin and Joe's relative lack of power. Joe had a lot of speed and skill and surely could have outboxed Carl to win a decision, but he would have had to deal with Froch's unrelenting pressure and intense will to win. That's the fight I would have most wanted to see out of all the possible match-ups frankly as I think Ward-Calzaghe would have been a bit of a chess match.

He faced Kessler, Froch with a fractured wrist, Dawson, and he's just fought Kovalev.


Joe is the guy who wouldn't face Tarver, Pavlik or Dawson, stating that he didn't rate them and they'd done nothing to warrant a fight, but who was then happy to fight Manfredo, Bika, and a version of Roy who he'd claimed was shot.

Joe is the guy who killed himself to remain at SMW, even though he knew Ottke wouldn't unify, and there was nothing else on the horizon at the time.

Joe is the guy who defended a lightly regarded WBO belt 21 times, with only 6/7 of those being mandatories.

Joe is the guy who claimed he didn't want tough fights.

"Joe would have multilated Dawson and Ward" isn't an acceptable opinion, because it's based on nothing logical, only your deep hatred of Ward.

 

It doesn't mean he definitely wouldn't have, but we have to objectively look at the available evidence.

Yes, it's only my opinion. But I can back it up and offer you logic and examples as to why I believe it. I can cite their egos. I can give examples of where Joe has boxed on emotion and gotten involved in unnecessary shootouts.

There's no logic to a statement like that. It was only made because Ward beat him and you hate Ward.

There's also no logic in stating that Joe would have beaten Ward with absolute ease. He's never beaten an elite fighter like Ward with ease. And that makes your opinion laughable.
