Thoughts please? I think the G-Man would ask some serious questions about Golovkin's chin and heart.

I made this thread a few days ago and got responses like "GGG wins by brutal KO, he is on a completely different level of a different building"

Sorry didn't notice it, I don't see that at all. I think Golovkin would be in very big danger of getting blasted out himself.

If he gets past the first 2/3 rounds GGG's skill/pedigree will show. Mcclellan was a beast, but I think he could be tamed. Mcclellan was a stupidly massive weight cutter...That would show in a hard fight down the stretch at middle imo

Also I feel mcclellan went in to the fight with Benn a ticking time bomb..Mcclellan with no injury stops Benn in 4..

With last week's weigh-in procedure Gerald would be fine come fight night. The speed of punch is massively in his favour, no way in hell would Golovkin avoid that right down the pipe.

Ggg's got a chin on him though...Mouth watering clash it would have been

Would have been a hell of a fight. But I'm starting to think that the hype about GGG's chin may be real. Jacobs landed some bombs and Golovkin hardly blinked. GM is heavier handed than DJ I think, but I also think DJ may be the better boxer. I'm favouring Golovkin with a reasonable amount of confidence.

I don't think Jacobs hits anywhere near as hard as the G-Man.

Yep, Jacobs cuter than Mcclellan with angles and footwork. I think he would've eventually been shown up as a little one dimensional Mcclellan if he'd had a longer career. To in love with his power

It's a big part of it though, along with the massive difference in handspeed. I'd even go to say that McLellan had a better chin.

Definitely a better chin agreed. Far sturdier mcclellan..He just smacked of a fighter than would run out of ideas to me if he couldn't get u out. He loses to all the middles back then in Hopkins Toney jones jnr. Nothing to be ashamed of. Perhaps they weren't at the same weights at the same time, I cant remember exactly.

I don't think he would run out of ideas having to find Golovkin's chin, it's far from finding a needle in a haystack.

GGG a few fights a go was very good at slipping punches. It was the first thing that jumped out at me and why I think hes past it seeing him take more. Some see it as better competition, maybe true, but ive seen him fight great behind a jab and slip stuff effortlessly in the past. Ive never really rated Jacobs. I hope he does well as he has a great story behind him.
