I think it would have been interesting if Ward faced Joe early in the round robin.

Its a given Calzaghe loses clearly but how would he deal with the loss?

Coke binge and self pity or would he come back with a vengence? I mean obviously he loses to Ward in the final again but it would have been interesting to see how it all played out with the others.

Yes I agree. I think the S6 time was a time when SMW was not at its strongest but was getting alot of press due to a tournament.
I think there are several SMWs from yesteryear who if prime would have won the S6. Calzaghe, Ottke, Eubank also. Possibly Collins and Benn also

You say this and forget that faded, unwell double vision suffering Kessler beat Froch who was runner up to the tournament. that was when Kessler was past best, so what level would you have had him then?

You have posted saying what you think people were thinking. You know that you have. You have said before things like he was thinking. You forget what you write

So Loudon says he accepts opinions and then on this post says he doesnt lol. He says my posts are not logical because they are of a differing opinion to his, which shows his double standards. Lets see Loudons prediction threads and I can show mine and we will see who made the best calls.
He calls me a fanboy but I seem to recall him saying something about looking at nude photos of fighters which once again sums him up

Im going to give this post a LIKE because it gave me a few chuckles

Kessler is an A- level fighter. Let's not act like he's the second coming of Roy Jones. An A+ level is somebody like Andre Ward who basically lapped the field during the super 6.

    No not at all.
Ward hasnt faced fast boxer movers. He didnt face Dirrell, wasnt interested in Bute and decided against Degale
Who Calzaghe hadnt already beaten and wasnt a fast boxer mover like the 4 above
See above and who was not on a good run
    At a boiled down weight.
Where I felt he was outboxed
He faced the guy who schooled Tarver instead.
When was Calzaghe supposed to fight Tarver? Tarver was tied up. Tarver won a LHW title and fought Jones, then Jones again after losing, then got the unification with Johnson, then Johnson again after losing, then Jones again in the rubber match and then Hopkins. He was tied up and Calzaghe beat the fighter that dominated him

Was a MW, but when Pavlik was at SMW more he was allegedly offered a shot at Calzaghe and allegedly turned it down
    https://www.*******.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203236

Still I wrote Ward wasnt interested in Bute im sure you would say he lost to Froch yet forget that Pavlik lost to Hopkins in Hopkins fight straight after Calzaghe
I have seen you mention Dawson saying Calzaghe didnt fight him but lets recap and recall that Dawson was fighting on the Calzaghe/Lacy undercard against the English SMW champ and instead of staying at SMW where he had won a WBO NABO SMW title he jumped away from SMW away from where Calzaghe was and fought a faded end of career LHW and fought other LHWs around a decade older in Tarver and Johnson instead of prime SMWs. Years later he can suddenly drop back to SMW. Enough said
You tell me which were mandatories. Whats wrong with some not being mandatories when 2 were unifications, one was to decide the owner of the title Calzaghe had defended several times and others were against top SMWs in big fights like Reid, Woodhall, Mitchell, Brewer. You also forget that Thornberry was due to be a showcase with a Collins double bill, McIntyre was a sub for Echols, Sobot was a sub for Salmaci, Pudwill was a sub for Tate.
All long reigning champs have a few gimmes, just look at some of the fights Toney and Jones had as champs or Ward even
He probably didnt. Not many fighters do and he was good enough to face tough challengers and not make them hard fights like alot of the greats do

How is Barrera a better win lol or Green? So Green lost to old boiled down G Johnson who when prime lost to Sheika to get a shot at Calzaghe who subsequently lost to Calzaghe in 5 one sided rounds.
You may not have thought much of Kessler but besides Kovalev it would be Wards best win. A faded Kessler with double vision who when prime lost to Calzaghe

Its how serious Calzaghe takes the fights. When he was taking it seriously and felt he could lose like against Lacy and Eubank, he is a different animal. Look at how Jones had problems with Griffin but in the rematch he took it more seriously. Work it out

Todd498 did a brutal dismantling job on Loudon.
The mods obviously realised Loudon has been trolling and took action. Not sure what Todd did?
This is probably destroying Loudon now, with not being able to post back

Ward also easily outpointed Froch in his sleep. The point is Calzaghe has only fought somebody as good as Kessler. And other than that there is little there.
