Andre Ward vs Sergey Kovalev II close to being finalized

1,2,4,6,10 are clear Kovalev rounds. Ward has one strong round in 11 and two good rounds in 7 & 8. With the knockdown, the best you can muster is a one point win for Ward on a 7-5 card, which is a stretch that will see Ward given every other close round. Unless of course you are the official judges, whose cards make little sense and appear to just bail Ward out of a point hole.

It was a robbery! Margin of victory doesn't matter, it's how the majority sees the fight. 70-80% of the media and most fan polls reflect a Kovalev victory..usually by an average of 1-3 rounds.

Dude, we've been over this 1000 times. If you scored the fight for Kovalev, fine. But you Ward dictators have no respect for people who saw it otherwise. I had no horse in this fight. Didn't put money on it, wasn't even in kirk's league to make an official prediction. I just happened to score the rounds 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 for Ward as I watched it without any bias. And I don't agree that 4th was a clear Kovalev round. I thought 1, 2, 6 and 10 were clear rounds for him, 5,7,9 and 11 clear for Ward with the remaining 4 close rounds that could've gone either way.

Yeah, %70-80 of the media and fans scored it for Kovalev, and at least the %80 of it had it 7-5 or 6-6 for him with the KD. When you score a fight 7-5 or 6-6, It means It was indeed a close fight by every measure.

7-5 with a KD is a 3 point win. Roughly half of the media scorecards in favor of Kov have a 3-6 point margin of victory by my count.

That's a lot of people that feel the Champion lost his belts unjustly by a fair margin.... so you shouldn't be surprised by the term "robbery" being used.

 

I hope kovalev hurts him really badly in this time, worse than the pascal rematch. Wards behavior, boxing style are bad for the sport

 

first fight was super close fight i hate to admit it but i really do think ward did enough to win the boxing match. inside is where he won the fight. and my heart was really with kovalev. it was a razor think win for ward.
