Canelo also has stamina issues and problems fighting entire rounds, so what? They both have pro's and con's to them. Canelo's have been on the table for quite some time, and Floyd exposed him the most (not too much shame in that). Triple G just took his first step up fight, and lots of his flaws have been exposed.

We'll never really know even if the fight gets made, but I get the feeling that this might backfire a little bit sales-wise. There was a time when fans were really clamoring for this fight. I think some people are kind of over it now.

I mean, what does a win over Canelo really do for G's legacy? If Canelo was an established quality fighter at MW it might be different. GGG has a chance to unify with Saunders and could consider moving up or staying at middle to break Hopkins record after that. This could enhance his legacy for sure. As for Canelo, yeah, he dropped the belt and ducked G, but I think he will ultimately be forgiven for that and he can continue to carve out his legacy at whatever weight he wants. Soon G will be gone and MW will be there for the taking.

It's now or never for this fight. Make it before it becomes totally meaningless or admit you don't intend to do so at all.

 

Of course he will now. If you KSAB then you know this has always been a 50/50 fight but Oscar needed to see GGG struggle a few rounds before he found his sac.

It was fairly shitty up front. Officially Hopkins got 8 mil, plus a percentage of the PPV over a certain amount of buys, which may have added another mil. Hops also got a stake in Golden Boy though.
