The fight that makes the most sense for Floyd to go for a 50-0 record is...

Yes, even Thurman would be worthwhile seeing an old Floyd try to run and collect points from a fast, younger and hungry opponent. GGG fight would be great, finally Floyd can own up to his TBE claim and do something to actually prove it. Oscar never claimed he was the best ever yet still went up to meet Hopkins. Floyd and oscar both started as super feather weights. If Oscar was still fighting he would have already challenged GGG the second his name got out.

How would Mayweather reach 160 lb?
He has never made the 154 lb JMW limit, specially at his age.

Thurman's not a great threat or name, even if he beats the Brook-Spence winner Thurman would be a step down as a marquee opponent after Canelo and Pac. GGG is the only threatening fight that might really sell. And with GGG looking more vulnerable maybe Floyd will actually consider. Realistically Floyd shouldn't have to fight someone 15 lbs bigger than him, but if he wants a big fight and a great challenge that's the only guy. Oh, the other fight I think would be worth returning for and fun to watch is Broner. Too bad they're seemingly on good terms again.

Floyd can fight whoever the hell he wants at this stage of his career. If you don't like it then don't buy the fight.

How about Kennedy challenge Ward at 175? How about that? That way we can settle once and for all who the best fighter in the world is. Golovkin should do like Floyd, move up in weight class for greater challenges.

It is ridiculous to expect Mayweather to fight GGG, massive size difference and Floyd is older. I can't stand Floyd, but I hold nothing against him for not taking that fight. He went up plenty in his career.

Floyd hasn't taken a risk for 7 years. Maybe longer.

He won't fight Thurman because he has the power to neutralise Floyd. Although I think Floyd beats him after watching him against Garcia.

He would beat Canelo again. That guy is a chump who can't box.

He wouldn't go anywhere near GGG. He'd get destroyed and GGG is just too big. Even at 154. Everyone is talking about GGG's tailspin but he fought a f--king big and undefeated WW in Brook and brutalized him then fought a guy who was probably close to 180 on fight night who didn't do VADA and whose only goal was to survive till the end. Listen to his corner at the end of each round: don't engage, don't do anything stupid, jab to the chest up and down. Then he goes southpaw for a decent amount of the fight to take away GGG's left hook but really give himself no chance of doing any damage himself.

Floyd is looking for big money with no risk.I'd fight him for $500,000. He could fight a trilogy with me and get to 52-0. I don't see any problem with that as long as I'm compensated. Little Floyd punches like a girl nowadays - sure, he'd knock me out but I would not take much damage.

Leave the little ducker in retirement. Move on.

You make a good point but floyds legacy wont jump up THAT MUCH to anyone who knows boxing if he wins the rematch.

Pacquiao rematch would make a lot of sense for him if Pacquiao continues winning.

Also, Isn't Manny still a bigger draw than Canelo? I have little desire to see either rematch.
Would much rather a potential passing of the torch to Crawford/Spence/Thurman or even the impossible mega-fight versus Golovkin.

I think the rematch would still do the right numbers with proper promotion. It would still be a big win for Manny and a lot of people would suspect that Floyd might have some ring rust. They can bring up all kinds of excuses for the first fight. I think it can do up to 2 million PPVs, maybe even more. Maybe for this fight Floyd can start with his trash talk again.

Only fights I'd buy of floyds would be a pac rematch or Thurman.
