Usyk = poor man's Holyfield

Do you realize how much money is/was in pro boxing? They're all on whatever they can get their hands on and get away with

 

Usyk's run in the world series of boxing up at super heavyweight proved that he is probably gonna be the top man at heavyweight when he decides to move up. He dominated the best super heavyweights in the world despite them being far heavier in WSB - Majidov, Joe Joyce, Nistor, Fa,etc.

 

He beat better opponents in the WSB at super heavyweight than Joshua and Wilder have in their pro careers so far!

 

Joyce is a 31 year old whos about 6ft7. Olympic Silver medalist, World championship silver medalist, European gold, commonwealth gold. Arguably the best super heavy amateur in the world and Usyk schooled him.

 

I am pretty high on Usyk at heavyweight in the future IF he bulks up but if you want to talk amateur boxing I have 2 words for you - Audley & Harrison.

Yep ... this is right IMO.

Why not just let his next few years play out ... rather than cast a judgement based on what we've seen so far? Wait and see how he responds to a heavy hit from a top HW or a tough patch. Holyfield is proven on that front but any assessment of Usyk on the toughness front (in the pro ranks) is mostly speculation at this stage.

I think most would agree ... in his amateur career and so far at CW he hasn't done much wrong ...

 

Usyk at best will become champ but not a long reigning one. #realtalk

 

Time will tell but Holyfield has one heck of a resume to catch up too!

 

STFU you dip****. There's nothing you know about Usyk that everyone else doesn't. You're just talking out of your ass. He has a good chin, he's one of the best at boxing off the back foot among active fighters, he has a very good jab, he can adjust and fight on the front foot, he can come forward and smother his opponent with high workrate, he can counter-punch. Practically showed every dimension there is.

And if you really studied Usyk, you'd know that he had it easier with big SHWs than he did with smaller, quick fighters like Russo and Beterbiev. Your claims of Parker having better skilled when we saw him look clueless against the First opponent who can push him back further proves your ignorance.

Junior Fa, a guy who fought Parker 4 Times stated several Times that Usyk is by far the best Fighter he's ever fought.

 

Longer than 3 rounds, no headgear, 10 Point must system, smaller gloves than every other amateur tournament. That's a lot closer to pro than It is to amateur.

 

If Usyk stepped up to the heavyweight divsion, he would share the same fate as Ugonoh. Flat on his back against the big blubbery Dominic Brezeale. These cruiserweights can't match these 240 pounds behemoths. Guys like Haye and Holyfield were the exception to the rule, they had extremely execptional attributes ( power, and toughness.) This Ukranian is a pretender.

As of Usyk he will not do good at HW as far as beating LEGIT guys when or IF he goes there,you are an idiot if you think anything amateur transcends into the pros, certainly not at the skill level hes fighting at now,didnt you watch the Glowacki fight?????????????????
