He's with one of the best coaches in the game, Freddy Roach, so he is in safe hands.

Hes got all the tools, to beat anyone in the HW division, rock solid chin, speed, power in both hands, agility and natural talent inherited from one of the greats.

I'd agree that it will take 2 years of refinement before he is finished being polished and ready to the destroy the likes of Wilder and the other frauds in the division making a mockery out of the sport.

I enjoy watching Trey but ROCK SOLID chins must be earned.

His chin looks a little better than his dads and he'll need it. Trey needs a lot work on defense.

The good news is he's athletic and the reflexs are there.

    Roach can develop him.

Wilder would knock Morrison in 4 rounds max.

Boxing needs exciting fighters. Trey is one of them.

I do not think he will be the future champion, that would be Philip Hrgovic, however I would not rule out Trey winning an alphabet title or having an Aurto Gatti like career at heavyweight.

I just wish his reach was 2" better than 74.5 inches.

You would say that and right now you'll probably be right.

However just wait until Morrison develops further and gets his much needed experience - he will take wilder's head off, without any hide and seek cat and mouse tactics, he will be in the pocket trading toe to toe with that thug until Wilder's knees buckle.

If razor ruddock or Michael moorer had two sons who were at the same stage of their career with the same wins.....would the OP have made this thread?
Calls the current champs false prophets....continues to hype up tommy morrison's(lol) sons as prophets
Didn't you post yesterday about hating fighters like holyfield that used PEDs? Guess what Morrison admitted he got HIV from injecting steroids.

I don't see the potential your talking about in Morrison, but if he gets the right learning fights then you have a chance of being right not to mention Wilder will be alot older by then. However Morrison is not a blue chip prospect from the fight I saw, he needs to moved along very carefully to make sure he is consistently getting better.

IMO, Trey Morrison after 13 pro fights, looks better than Deontae Wilder after 13 pro fights.

Trey Morrison's win over Ed Latimore ( 13-0 ) is better than anyone Wilder beat in his first 13 fights.

Regardless of where you think his career will go, Trey has legitimate lights out power in both hands, targets the body and head well, and also has an uppercut.

So he has a puncher's chance vs anyone.

If they were good prospects and I liked what they brought to the table, then yes there would be a thread highlighting them. I made a thread about a young british prospect named Daniel Dubois, and I didn't see you in there complaining.

As for Morrison he was mentally ill when he was taking roids, as well as being addicted to a host of other drugs. He simply didn't want to confront the reality that HIV was the result of his promiscuous so blamed it on roids. When the truth is the roids was to help keep him competing at a respectable level even though his body was dying. Big difference to someone who is in full in control of all their faculties and still willingly cheats to gain an edge over their opponent.

If he's inherited the old man's whiskers, this one will be a question of who lands the big bomb first. If he doesn't have his dad's chin, and can stand up to Wilder's punch, well then it will be Wilder's glass jaw that gets shattered.

Trey might have something to offer down the line.... But he still has a lot of work to do.
