“If he moves up in weight, we’ll fight him there,” said Hunter to Dontae’s Boxing Nation about Golovkin moving to 168. “We have unfinished business at light heavyweight. I don’t know if we’ll go back down, but he’s not a light heavyweight. He’s still a middleweight. We’ll move back down. There shouldn’t be any reason now why he wouldn’t fight us. He should have a real good reason. I don’t think he can use those excuses again after we finish with Kovalev and decide to move back down. Of course, he can make 168 if the money’s right,” said Hunter about Ward. “Most definitely, he’s still a super middleweight,” said Hunter.

    I hope it does.

Assuming Ward beats Kovalev again (which I'm inclined to believe he probably will), and as long as Golovkin doesn't lose, I still think it would be an interesting fight.

Ward's the only guy at 168 that many would favour to beat Golovkin. I think it would be a fantastic fight :)

I favor Badu Jack to TKO him at 168.

Badou Jack is a powerful dude. Could happen.

I really don't see what Golovkin would want at 168 which is imho above his weight class.

I'd like to see the Ward fight though.

168 is a wasteland. far more talent coming up at 160.

Boxrec still has him listed as a super middleweight.

that ship has sailed. ggg is at 160 and isnt going nowhere.
and ward has unfinished business at 175. an i dont believe ward can make 168 by the time this fight actually is available.

if ggg were to move up i kno most of us want ggg vs degale or ggg vs ramirez

GGG don't want Ward. He don't want Jacobs anymore. He wants to get Saunders and the Canelo fight to cash out. That's how I see it.

There's millions at stake. I think he'd make the weight.

This is just talk. No way Ward can make 168 and not completely drain himself. I don't want to see this fight under those conditions because I'm sure it would be like Ward vs Dawson.

Either way I don't want to see it
It's gonna be a grappling match UD win for ward. Kovalev is a better fighter than GGG and if he can't get the job done then I think the chances of golovkin doing it are slim

Andre Ward the master of the forearm shiver , headbutt and punching off the break , takes the rules to the limit . Hopkins is proud of him

GGG better stay far away from Ward , size matters in boxing , Ward would wear down GGG with the wrestling
