I really don't see a similarity between both men. The only thing I can think of is if Usyk moves up to HW eventually, that both men came from lower divisions up to HW.

For the simplest reason: These modernist hipsters like him and the OP are terrified with the possibility of Usyk having success at HW. If he goes up there and beats someone like Joshua or Wilder, It'll destroy their claims of past greats who were mostly around 200-220 lbs would be overmatched against the modern SHWs.

Usyk is clearly a superb talent and would be a favorite right now against all but the elite of the HW division. That's conventional wisdom.. not fanboying.

 

And btw, Usyk toys with and knocks out both Morrison brothers on the same night. There are levels to this ****, and the levels in this case is very simple to comprehend with to anyone with a braincell.
