I don't like the ibo either but a clown couldn't win it lol, you have to be a top 20 boxer which is no easy task.

hagler quit an undisputed reign of boxing (albeit on a loss) at an age before 3g's age when he WON his first world title.

the two are in entirely different leagues.

And I agree the ibo is the worst belt. Didn't some Aussie just win an ibo beating the corpse of Geale at 168? lol

Here we go again with the superior fighters of yesteryear stop living in dream land. Today's fighters are more efficient and actually place their shots. Of course the old fighters looked better swinging away for fifteen rounds. They would get totally humiliated today by any decent fighter.

    LOL, maybe you are right.

I really, really like Hagler, though.

There are a lot of parallels on how he was avoided and how GGG has been avoided. Duran and Hearns were huge wins. Mugabi too. Hamsho, Antuofermo, Minter etc ... he didn't exactly fight a bunch of scrubs.

That said it sometimes takes a while for a fighter's legacy to gain its proper context. Guys like Lemieux, Jacobs, Brook, Monroe may go on to do impressive things that improve the class of the wins for GGG.

I'm trying to say that Golovkin has a longer reign, with only having a belt not being the lineal or undisputed champion
