What does Wlad see in AJ that makes him think he can win?

First of all gotta give Wlad huge props for taking this fight, he wants redemption after Fury and what better way of getting it than beating Joshua in London. Having said that, I just can't see a way he can win, besides landing a huge bomb early on. He's obviously a man of great pride but I think that pride is giving him false hope against a young, hungry beast like Joshua.

With that huge right hand he always has a punchers chance early but I think he ends up getting badly hurt here, KO rounds 1-3.

 

Money!

 

^ Wlad is loaded. Money is the last thing he needs.

 

Word is Wlad schooled him in sparring. So obviously he had success against AJ in various aspects that he feels AJ has not improved enough in to challenge him for real. YET. Wlad is pretty good with his control of distance and timing of punches. My guess is that AJ may not be world class in the footwork department just yet.

 

Klitschko ain't The substitute teacher/Drummer boy Erik Molina.

I'd be SHOCKED if Joshua KO's Wladimir early.

 

They said he could have retired after fighting South African Corrie Sanders, he made over 10 million at that point

 

Really? Malik Scott was in that camp and said the opposite.

Looking at the Jennings fight, which is now over 2 years ago I'm really struggling to envision a Wlad win here.

 

He needs a legacy fight. This is his last chance.

He's not doing it for the cash alone.

 

Joshua was in that camp and had this to say:

Agree this isn't about money for Wlad, it's about pride and legacy. Have to respect that.

 

I have a friend who lived in Germany and said they had some funny commercials over there. No doubt Wladimir isn't fighting just for the money. He cares about his Legacy.

Honestly Anthony Joshua could have retired lol, Charles Martin that's a guy who just did it for the cash haha.

 

He sparred him, you dont forget how it all felt when you sparred somebody. Even though its only training these young lads are looking to impress. And to be honest after the wirlwind of confusion that was Tyson Fury it will be nice for him to stand infront of somebody alot more orthadox, back to what he knows and has dealt with for years.

Not that im saying he is taking this fight lightly in any way. He knows AJ is a real challenge.

 

Joshua's a humble dude. He's showing Wlad respect but that doesn't suggest he was schooled by him in sparring.

 

Wlad has already said why he has taken the fight

He wants to prove he has still got it, and that the Fury loss was a fluke.

He is massively motivated by being the under dog again, and really wants to win in a fight he is expected to lose by many.

Wlad has Hollywood lead actor for 10 years kind of money.
