Lmao. Bute was this boards next hyped up guy before GGG on this board until Froch put an end to that. Now he's just this chinny bum. Got to love it here and you guys will do the same for G if he gets annihilated.

How do people here feel Jacobs would do against Groves? I think Groves would struggle, seeing that he doesn't have the usual speed advantage.

This is a tough one. Based on resume, Froch. Heck, Froch only got beat by Ward and Kessler, the latter was close and he had the volcanic cloud disruption in the week up to the fight.

I can see Jacobs either outboxing him, like Taylor did. Or being awkward, like Dirrell. But Froch will force it later on. Force who has the bigger heart and will to win.
But then again....this guy came back from life threatening cancer. He obviously has heart.

Froch was such an dedicated fighter, it's not even funny. The man trained year round. He takes hits with some performances but others are overlooked as are his skills like when he was able to outbox AA. He fought a very crisp, disciplined game plan in throwing sharp, short, straight punches while pressuring AA. That's when I knew he was a serious fighter and jumped on the train as an American.

At first like many, I thought he was a cocky, arrogant ***** and I think this turns off a bunch of people to him as well, but the man works hard and he backs it up.

Seeing how G's power wasn't as effective against Jacobs. Also seeing Jacobs who wasn't known for his boxing ability was able at times to outbox G even from a SP position. Froch for sure terrorizes G from start to finish as he did Bute. The man is a pit bull. He doesn't stop. It only gets worse as the fight goes on.

Close fight could be similar to Taylor vs Froch with Froch coming on later.
I say Froch via late TKO round 10-12

I always though Froch was just a tough-guy who tough-guyed his way to some signature wins but obviously I am missing something considering the career he had. I would favour Jacobs to win a decision against him although Froch sparking him a la Groves 2 could happen at any time.
God! How sweet was that moment seeing Groves getting taken out after all that nonsense out of him before the fight (especially as everyone I was watching it with was supporting Groves & I won all their money, good times)

Froch.. He's too big and durable for Jacobs at the higher weights. It may look a lot like Froch-Taylor if I'm being honest.

Jacobs by points. It would be like a replay of Froch vs Dirrel, only this time the points gap would be too wide to rob the deserving winner.

Jeah, you are right - it´s a mental thing. And yes, you are a sexist.

I have it 50/50 because of styles. I think Froch is the better all around fighter (grit, power, stamina, size, reach) but Jacobs style is all wrong for Froch. Froch is really a counter puncher, not a preasure fighter like many believe. Also, he doesn´t dominate his opponents (a la Bute) that often. He gets hit a lot, especially against right hand (a la Dirrell).

Jacobs has power (and that right hand) to hurt and slow him down or even stop him, Jacobs would fight negatively, defense first and Froch would get frustrated making him do more mistakes.
