Not being wobbled doesn't win you a fight, fighters win fights on the backfoot, GGG landed more jabs Jacobs landed more power punchers. Jacobs face didn't look the way you describe but even if it did I bet your someone who felt Chocalatito won his last two fights even though he looked like he had been through a meat grinder.
Yup my eyes and brain, together can differentiate between a shot which was effective and a shot which wasnt.
Who was the aggressor? The guy who threw more punches? The guy who landed more punches? The guy who landed more punches in 9 of 12 rounds? The guy who got the KD and hurt his opponent multiple times but never got knocked down or wobbled himself? Who had the most dominant rounds? Who's face looked like it was just pulled out of a hornets nest? Who dictated the pace of the fight? Who won? Didn't watch RG's last fight so couldn't tell you. Landing more power punches doesn't help your cause.. The jab is the basic & most essential/effective scoring tool in the boxing arsenal. Basic **** mate..
Loool at official stats as if it isn't a bunch of guys pushing buttons, not only do they have to do everything in real time, they are usually past middle aged which means their reflexes are not gunna be as great. I use compubox as a guage but my eyes and brain are better at getting a more complete picture of the round.
I changed my mind... The KD & getting out-Landed in 9 out of 12 rounds edges it for Jacobs now IMO I have been silly..
I'm not discrediting the jab, I'm just saying that was the only thing was landing and it was near as effective as how he used against Lemieux. Jacobs was landing combinations and more eye catching shots for me.
Not saying it was a conspiracy it was a tight fight I gave it to Jacobs, the judges gave it to GGG, I accept the decision.
