Loma is 28 GGG is turning 35
The MW division may have more attention than the SFW but Loma beat better fighters P4P and he looks like he has more good years ahead than GGG.
I think Loma, Crawford and maybe even sergey if he beats ward Stevenson and/or beterbiev is much more likely to go down as fighter of the decade. GGG is still very good but let's be honest Loma is so much better and more skilled P4P he would not struggle with a 130 version of Jacobs plus like I mentioned he's younger and gets hit less

I agree with your points on fighter of the decade for sure. I think out of all those guys Loma is the most likely to leave a truly great legacy, assuming his career is managed well.

But comparing MW guys to SFW guys is difficult to do, I think. Loma is definitely more skilled than GGG but I consider power to be more of an equaliser at the higher weights (maybe that's total BS but just how I see it), so again to say how a 130 Jacobs would fight is conjecture at best. But it's an interesting thought for sure.

    Walters and GRJ for me.

Lemieux and Jacobs are very good, dangerous fighters, but Loma outclassed guys there wasn't a blueprint for. The only thing that's stopped the GRJ win from looking even better is Gary's lack of activity since then- H2H, he's probably the hardest of the 4 to beat IMO.

Walters and GRJ easily, not even close. I remember in the run up to both of these fights and plenty of people were picking Walters and GRJ.

Loma is the money fight of his division. Cotto/Martinez had no reason to face GGG

So why is GGG ahead of Loma in many P4P lists and as well as the poll here for "fighter of the decade"
Loma has like 8 fights and better wins than G plus he is 6-7 years younger, he is going to make GGGs career(so far) look like dog poop by the time he's G's age. Its not G's fault he didnt get the big fights but the reality is still that he has those 2 wins jacobs and Lem and he's 35. If he beats saunders, jacobs again, canelo and either charlo or degale then yes he could be in consideration for FOTD but thats the best case scenario. Loma looks like he will achieve much more

Walters' and Russell Jr's scalps are far better. Walters beat down
2 future HOF'ers consecutively and Loma completely dressed him
down causing him to actually "no mas"

Russell w/hand and footspeed blessed by God, was made
to look woefully ordinary vs. Loma, then would go on
to still win a title from a possible future HOFer.

It's not even close, the level of win between he and
    Golovkin's top scalps.

GRJ and Walters are much, much better wins than Jacobs and Lem. Different league of fighter even.

I agree with everyone in this thread. GRJ and Walters are better wins than Lemieux and Jacobs. As far as FOTD goes it's still too early to tell.

I personally think its going to be Loma or Crawford. Ward and sergey both have a shot as well but are declining and would have to keep performing against top guys. I would be very surprised if ward beat sergey again and then started cleaning out the LHW division like he did SMW. Not sure sergey will have enough left to take on the waves of talented up and coming LHWs coming his way and beat them all. More confident of sergey doing it because he has the great equalizer.

It could be. Alot can happen within 3 years like any one of those guys can lose, I picked Wlad because he was dominating the first half of this current decade were in right now, and a win over AJ, would be big. Canelo, Loma, Crawford, Ward, Kovalev, and yes even GGG all have a chance, but as it stands right now... GGG winning that poll is Ludacris..

When Loma beat Russell Jr, Russell Jr had no significant wins at the time. None.
When Loma defeated Walters, the only significant win Walters had was over Nonito Donaire (Fighting him at 130)

Now, does this post mean 3G has better wins with Lemieux and Jacobs? No. But it's not some foregone conclusion that Loma's two big wins are all that much better then Lemy and Jacobs.

I dont want to "toot my horn" but resume aside, i feel like i know enough about boxing to tell GRJ and Walters were better fighters just by looking at a few of their fights against atleast average opposition. Now anyone can look like ali against a dead body or a punching bag, but all 4 of them fought guys who were atleast good enough to give a rough measure of their caliber, and IMO GRJ and Walters were better. But you are free to disagree of course

Comparing apples to oranges, but Lemieux doesn't belong in the conversation. Not sure why people keep overhyping him like he is some great fighter or something. Russell Jr., and Walters would be the better pair.

Better fighters than Lemmy and Jacobs? Well, don't take this as some argument (As many do here), but more as a disagreement. But neither guy had any wins worth bragging about prior to Lomachenko. IMO, there really isn't much distance between the two sets of wins, regardless of whom one thinks is better. Pretty much a wash.
