Jacobs made weight, Salido didn't, not sure how those two situations are the same at all.

Russell jr is a hype job imo he has fought no one. He's clearly has some talent but his resume is a joke, I mean beating an ancient Gonzalez doesn't make you anything special imo.

I really like Russell jr. The Gonzales win was good, but as someone else said, he's a bit inconsistent. I believe it was still a good win, especially in the fashion in which he won.

I still hope for bigger and better with GRJ.

I don't see Gonzalez as a noteworthy win, it says a lot of Russell's career that is still his best win to date.

I like Russell too, but he barely fights and his resume is poor at some point you have to accept what he is which just an underachiever. Not to mention his hands are damn near finished which means his wasted his prime years fighting nobodies.

Maybe his little brother who is making his debut will have a better career.

Gonzales' win over Mares was rather huge though. He was a big underdog in that fight too.

GRJ is 28, he has time.

It was a good win but let's be honest he caught him with a good shot.

He's hands are finished plus he's inactivity will only make it worse. I just don't understand why he turned down the mares fight, he could of had the WBA regular and the WBC which would mean a mandatory shot at Santa Cruz.

    Jacobs > GRJ
Walters and lemieux are probably equal. Especially a Walters coming off a 1 year layoff after getting robbed and having his momentum killed. Lemieux was coming off solid wins. You could even rate Lemieux above Walters.

That being said Lomachenko is jumping weight classes to get these high profile elite fights. Something GGG has refused to do. Lomachenko also is only 29.

Walters was extremely overrated. GRJ is good. Lemieux is alright. Jacobs is pretty good. I'd say that the balance falls to GGG.

You're right, they're not the same, but they are similar in which one fighter held significant weight advantage over the other on fight night. Jacobs used that advantage like Salido did. Of course, it can always backfire, or not always be an advantage, like it didn't matter in the Delahoya-Mayorga fight where Mayorga was bragging he was 175 that night.

He didn't wanna make the check weight which rubbed wrong too but as a lot of people didn't make a big deal of it when Lemieux do it I don't think we should make a big deal when Jacobs does it. GGG's team came out and said they were cool with it too.

Yeah it could be a disadvantage too but weight bullies have been around for a long time, Canelo and Chavez are to prime candidates.
