Apparently his eye was bad enough for him to be registered blind. However he still dreams of being world champion and wants a rematch with Cunningham.

Smh this guy really needs to hang up the gloves before he loses his vision permanently. if a featherfisted cunningham can stop you then you have no chance of making it to euro let alone world level. He was being outboxed by a British level fighter, how on earth did he win an Olympic medal.

    Thoughts on Ogogo's career?

The Board won't licence him I'd hope/presume so unless he somehow boxes on a foreign licence his career is finished.

Not a fantastic professional career all things told but his health is much more important obviously.

This guy gets a lot of heat for being "soft". You cannot question his heart. True fighter. Haye too, people slaughtered him for years and look what he did earlier this month. A ton of boxing fans have no clue.

I think there's a bit of exaggeration in there to how bad the injury actually is.

Firstly if you are registered blind you cannot fight under the BBofC sanctioning committee period, but then he says he "could have" applied for the blue badge (which means he didn't). He then goes on to say about how he is going to be back and looking forward to fighting Cunningham again?

I don't give him heat for being soft, he just has had too much injuries and clearly his body can not take the punishment which can occur. I mean if your getting stopped by a non puncher at British level, I can't see you going to euro or even world level.

Always got the impression Ogogo was more bothered with being a celebrity rather than a boxer (I dont know him personally just how ive seen it)

If its that serious then I wish him all the best with a career outside the ring, dont start messing about when its your health/sight at stake.

Yeah he seems to go another a lot of tv shows and what not. I don't mind personally it raises his profile but he has to match it with fight results or he should just retire.

I'm sorry but without proof I can't take a word of what Ogogo says seriously, he's another Khan - he's trying to play boxing to become a celebrity. The difference is Khan got up to world level.

Ogogo QUIT in the cunningham fight, he didn't want anything to do with Cunningham in the fight, then decided to come out after and say he'd picked up the eye injury in sparring.... Yawn.

    "Quit"...

The guy's eye was dropping in and out of the socket, which he's two surgeries on and still isn't over the line with yet.

    Helmets.

Are you ****ing ******ed? He's had two eye ops. He got his ass beat against Cunningham no one is denying that. But he clearly had an eye injury. Pretty sure his corner pulled him out too.

You are questioning his heart when he's willing to box again and risk his sight, gtfo.

Truly terrible news. Wish him all the best for the future in a career outside of boxing.
