Eeriest damn thing has been happening for the last 2 hours, I live in a suburban area, somewhere between working class and middle class, and its pretty quiet here, as in its so quiet the air almost feels hollow, you can hear sounds carry between the houses from a half a mile away, especially in the spring and the fall. The streetlights are orange which casts a COPS like hue on the streets, and I have a Palm tree in my front yard, to add to the ambience. The house across the street that had the minor redneck car bombing in front of it a few months back, they thankfully moved out about a month ago. A few days ago a Mexican family moved in, and they don't speak English evidently, they've been quiet, no issues at all. Well tonight I was sitting on the couch in the quiet just relaxing, and out of nowhere I hear a woman screaming in Spanish.

That freaked me out because it was jarring, a few seconds later I hear a Mexican guy screaming at her, it was the couple that just moved in on the porch of their house screaming at each other at the top of their lungs at 2:00 in the ****ing morning. Eventually they moved into the road screaming at each other, all the while I'm watching in the dark through the blinds, finally they go back on the porch and things settle down. I relax and think thank God that's over, and whoopee no gunfire. 10 minutes go by, and another scream that scared the **** out of me, they went back on the porch and started yelling again, finally abruptly the yelling stopped, I thought for a second the guy had killed her, so I started contemplating calling the cops, but about 3 minutes later I heard her start crying.

So I sat for the next hour or so listening to a Mexican woman vacillating between whimpering and wailing at the top of her lungs alone on the porch, which was carrying between and around the houses because of the hollowness of the air in the complete and total quiet, it felt like I had La Llorona echoing in the night all around my house, it was creepy as ****.

Finally she shut the **** up and went inside.

 

That's what I assumed, dammit I hope that's not going to happen on a regular basis, but it probably will. From the looks and sounds of it tonight I'm afraid its going to get violent soon.

 

Don't worry, I'm not sticking my nose into anything, I have no desire to be a hero, and get shot in the process, I love minding my own business, and I hate nosey meddling people so I try to practice what I preach.
