Right. I said IF he gets into the ring and takes a loss while putting in a good and strong effort.

What puzzles me about this fight is that Oscar is demanding that GGG don't fight again for fear of him getting an injury or losing, it's as if he knows that Canelo is gonna win against Chavez. He didn't like what he saw in the Jacobs fight. He thinks that GGG is vulnerable and wants Canelo to be the one to beat him. I sincerely hope that Chavez is not bought and paid for. I am hoping that he beats the brakes off Canelo.

If Chavez beats El Pollo it will be good news for Golovkin because Chavez will fight Golovkin, El Pollo will never fight Golovkin, never!

Damn, Chavez looks ripped. LOL, that 164 weight stipulation may just have backfired on Team Fishnets and Chavez is in the best condition of his life :D

In boxing there are certain fighters who only have to go the distance irrespective of their performance and the judges will do the rest.

There should be boycotts to stop it from happening but most fans are content in witnessing corrupt decisions.

FFS JCC Jr has never looked better, this fight means so much to him.
I have to say I'm pretty much considering him the favourite at the moment.

Size matters and I don't think Canelo has the stamina to keep Jr off him and I don't think he hits hard enough to stop him. Jr is going to walk Canelo down for sure I think any way.

He'll make 164.5, but I think he should risk a mill just to gain that extra pound at the weigh in and not be bone dry for the weigh in.

Canelo is the better fighter skill 4 skill, the only thing that's going to trouble Canelo imo is Chavez' pressure, chin, and size.. Canelo is going to have to fight for this win.

He's not drained.. he looks very good 1 month out from the fight, and I don't see him having a real issue. He started camp at a good weight.

Not gonna read too much into Chavez apparently being in great shape. After a good few years of not really looking after himself physically this ripped Adonis look is probably nothing more than a facade to his real level of conditioning. He's at 'that age' now where the miles on the clock start to count against him and only those who have been truly dedicated throughout their careers can resist the effects of this.

He's a warrior, and that's enough to make the fight competitive for a good few rounds, but expect him to fade late on. And those who feel Canelo is a protected fighter - and there's evidence to suggest this is the case - should wonder why ODLH was happy to make this fight? Well it's a huge money-spinner against an opponent who is on the slide, and far enough on the slide to make the risk much less than the reward, yet close enough to a credible version of Chavez, the win will look good on the resume. And this is exactly the strategy they are applying to any potential match-up with GG.

Oscar was probably happy to make the fight because he was expecting the Julio that showed up for the Reyes and Vera fights, I'm sure he had no idea he'd be getting the Chavez Jr. from the Lee fight. But when what was Mexico's potentially favored son gets outshined by a brighter star, that's usually all the motivation someone needs to get their ass in shape and actually try to win.
