Watch the WWofS that was right after the bout. They timed the count twice both showing there was no short count. Foreman was down for ten seconds and was indeed counted out.

It doesnt matter because george didnt even protest, saying george was somehow cheated by the referee is BS

I agree however AFTER the bout George DID complain about everything...including a short count. This is why Wide World of Sports several weeks after the bout in 74 replayed the count TWICE timing it with a timer on the screen both times. Indeed they showed George was counted out and was on the canvas for the full ten seconds.

FOR THE LAST TIME LEARN TO SPEAK OUR ****ING LANGUAGE OR GO POST ON A FORUM WHERE THE SPEAK WHATEVER BACKWARDS LANGUAGE FROM WHATEVER BACKWARDS COUNTRY YOU ARE FROM!

Now with that said your entire post is a biased bunch of bull**** in favor of Foreman. Excuse after excuse. What matters is what happened in the ring and thats that he got his ass handed to him royally and got knocked the **** out. So quit making excuses for him and pretending like that fight was anything less than a teacher taking his student to the woodshed.

You dont want to believe the count was 10. Fine. You dont want to believe the referee who counted him out or the time keeper? Fine. But you still wont entertain my answer as to what Foreman would have done once he arose and had been incorrectly allowed to continue. What? What exactly would he have been able to do? He had already been beaten at every aspect of the game and was so exhausted he was hanging all over Ali right before he got dropped. So in addition to being exhausted and having just been dropped for a ten count which you somehow have performed an olympic class level of mental gymnastics to arrive at the conclusion that he beat the count or rather that the count shouldnt matter in the special case of George Foreman and you think hes going to come back and beat Ali? What an utter load of complete nonsense just like the bull**** you post about your favorite German fighters. All bull****. The difference is that with those German fighters not many, you included, have seen as much of them as I have in order to be able to call you out on your bull****. Here everyone has seen that fight and can tell you that Foreman lost fair and square. Im sure he had excuses. Excuses are like assholes, every forum has one. It just so happens your are ours and like Forums excuses the **** coming out of your mouth doesnt float.

If Foreman rose off the canvas, he would've lifted Ali with an uppercut to the rafters. Foreman would have to climb up to fight Ali on the rafters or risk DQ. He gets DQd, then they come back to America and go to DQ where they enjoy ice cream.

This might qualify as the most fact-challenged post of the month. You could probably get a job in the White House, if your English improved.

Allow me to jog your memory.

One judge had it 4 rounds to 2 for Ali with 1 round even.
One judge had it 4 rounds to 1 for Ali with 2 rounds even.
One judge had it 3 rounds to 0 for Ali with 4 rounds even.

    Again, allow me to retort.

As you can see from the video, Foreman is on the canvas at 1:04 and is not vertical till 1:15 or 1:16, 11 or 12 seconds later.

Ali had little trouble with George in that fight and had no reason to fear a rematch.

Now you have really gone off the deep end kid.
You do not hear the referee's count in that video.

What you are hearing is the commentator, not the ref.

And the commentator picks up the count at 3, when you can see from the ref's arm movements that it actually 4.

The ref counted till ten and made the classic "you're out" gesture at 10. George is vertical 1 to 2 seconds later.

I would have thought that this bit would have given you a clue:

"...six, seven, Foreman gets up to the knee, eight..."

Or did you think that some referees throw in a little colour commentary while they count ?

It's pretty easy to do the count yourself from the video.

George is down at 1:04 and up again, at the earliest, at 1:15 of the video.

    That's more than 10 seconds !

For the record, I'm a big fan of George and rank him at #4 all time, higher than most students of then sport.

It doesn't matter what it is for you, kid.

    WATCH THE FUKIN' VIDEO !

Tell me what the video clock says at the bottom when George is first down, and then tell me what the little clock says when George is back up again.

    It's a pretty straightforward exercise.

Video clearly shows George was down well over ten seconds. As they showed on wide world of sports in 1974. It's still amazing to me that there are some people who still believe Foreman was not counted out. It ALL stems from the person calling the bout from ringside missing the count. Indeed Clayton reached ten and swung his arms in the classic ten your out form.

The reasons Ali did not move as he had trained to do are various. However Ali walked into a ring with a heavily padded canvas. Very very hard to move side to side on that type canvas.....exhausting. Secondly Clayton stated the ring was in actuality very small. He expressed why Ali would have agreed to fight Foreman in such a small ring making it much easier for the puncher to cut the ring. Also....This is why the ropes were loose. They were made for a larger ring.

Actually Foreman years later (1987) while on the Art Rust radio show stated quite clearly why he lost the bout. He said that everything was just excuses (being drugged, short count, loose ropes etc) as he could not handle that he had lost. The reason he said he lost was "Ali is a big strong hwt and there was just so many of those right hands I could take"

I'm not sure i'd call 11 seconds "well over 10 seconds" but nothing unfair went on that's for sure.
