First i heard of a wink.

He was cought on the ear and since Malik has very weak and sensitive ears he took that opportunity to exit the fight. His drums never recovered after Tyson Fury burst both of them.

Scott is a quitter. He finds a way out against guys he knows he can't beat. Its no fault of Wilders that Scott wasn't prepared to go more than a round against him.
In hindsight , that makes the victory even more impressive.

IMO he was a bit more level-headed 2-3 years ago, before his WBC "title reign". I remember he was in training camp with Wlad and when someone asked him in an interview how the sparring went he said - I think very humbly - that it was an interesting experience to be in the ring with someone at elite level and how he "has his work cut out for him if he wants to reach that level".

Where is that Deontay today? I feel his handlers and his Alabama entourage of shoulder-patters have elevated his ego into something that is very far removed from his actual skill level.

i tend to agree, even when he won the title first he was on about him still being a developing fighter and needing more experience before taking on the big guns.

He's attacks on Tyson and Wlad really soured me to him, Wlad gave a great interview about him, lots of praise, just said he needs to fight better guys to develop, same with tyson. What did Deontay do? he replied like a complete jackass saying he would have whooped tyson if he was around today and attack wlad too.

i don't think joshua is as humble as he makes himself out to be in reality, but in front of the camera he does come across very well.

I think you could be right wilders ego has probably been inflated by back slappers and he's management, it will be a huge shock to him when he gets knocked out, some of the statements he comes out with are insane

The guy is completely delusional, he thinks he's a lot better than he actually is.

Wilder is mental, he's gonna join Charlie Z in the same padded room few years from now.

Dino i already know exactly what side of the argument you are on when Wlad is involved and i already know what all your replies will be. I gain zero incite or knowledge from having a discussion with you about anything to do with wlad. Sorry but you will have to find it out from someone else

Stiverne is and has always been garbage. He was a Don King manufactured fighter who won a vacant belt from an old and shot Arreola (who funnily enough ended up being one of Wilder's future 'opponents') . In reality he is probably on a similar level to someone like Dillian Whyte.

The fact that you keep citing this as Wilder's best win after 38 fights speaks volumes.

Wilder's title reign has been a complete farce, truly unprecedented in the sport.

Whilst Joshua and Wilder will be fighting in a 90k stadium with 1mill+ PPV buys for HW supremacy, Wilder will go back to fighting the Molina's and Szpilka of the world.

At the end of the day you can tell by just watching them that one is a superstar and the other is a bum that has power.

Wilder only tries to sell himself , he is a Clown , a circus attraction.
Big black man who swings windmill punches on Cab Drivers and Barbers.
Either he knows he would get banged out against AJ or he is fu**ing deluded.

It don't matter how good or how bad he was. Thats not the point. The division is riddled with garbage.

Arroela was in no means shot against Stiverne , in fact he was in the best shape of his career. No longer was he training on tacos like he done for Vitali. He was lean , fit , strong and motivated to become champ.
Stiverne fought a much better , primer version of Arroela than Vitali did.
You can call him crap all you want , it won't change the fact he is a better win than Charles Martin.

You are talking out your ass. Vitali's reign was no different. Stevensons is no different. Calzaghe's was no different.
He's only been a champ for 2 years. Calzaghe fought bottom feeders for TEN years.
This is nothing new in the sport of boxing. Happens all the time when the belts are fragmented into 4 pieces.
For ages the CW had 4 title holders and they fought every bum under the sun rather then each other.

Wilders record is a reflection of the division. You have a couple of names , then it tapers off into nothingness. There is nobody out there. This is what the division is. If you don't like it watch something else.

Make no bones about it, both AJ and Wilder's records are brutally poor for 'world' champions. The difference is that after 18 fights AJ is doing something about his.

Good to hear Wilder talking like this though. Obviously the $$$ is forefront in his mind, but it does indicate that he wants the Joshua fight.
